Website promotion plan totally depends on the objectives of the website that is a junction of three things such as business, Internet and customer. Website promotion plan is required to make an effective website. Best promotional plan helps you to get more traffic to your site but before implementing a plan you should be aware of all aspects of your website.

Owners should keep site’s general goals in mind at the time of selecting promotional plans. Website promotion plan is normally a combination of free and paid promotional ideas. Informational websites should always concentrate on free/very low cost promotional methods. You can easily promote your website with link exchange program. After placing links you should submit your site to various valuable directories. You should determine which directories are important for your industry.

You should also submit your site in some free directories to get traffic for your site. These free directories offer one-way links that usually enhance search engine ranking. Content is also another important concept of website promotion plan. You should concentrate on content of the site instead of graphics and images. Images can attract visitors but nice images with informational content attract a large number of visitors.

These entire steps take some time to implement but it will not take any more time to increase website traffic. Don’t think your work is finished after designing a website because you’ve to work regularly to keep your site up to date.

Looking for the Power of AdSense Search

I’ve got to admit I’ve never been too impressed with AdSense for Search. I just haven’t seen great results with it. In fact I’ve always considered it the stocking-filler of AdSense’s goodies: nice to get but nothing like as much fun as the main package.

But maybe I’ve been underestimating it. After all, the results page is a great example of AdSense optimization. You get hit with a perfectly blended, giant ad unit right above the fold (I wish they’d make that unit available for websites!), good content and a second giant unit at the bottom of the page. I’m pretty sure those pages have been delivering good CTR… once people get there.

And that’s always been the problem with Search. Very few people use it. And that’s fine. I get paid every time someone clicks on an ad. I only might get paid when someone does a search, and I’ve got no control over what they’re searching for. I’d much rather people click on my ads than search and leave without giving me any money.

But I get a lot of site targeted ads that pay by CPM. On those pages, I don’t care whether the users click ads or not. In fact, I don’t want them to click. I want them to generate lots of page views… and then I want them to search and leave.

If you’ve got a site that’s getting a lot of CPM ads then, I think it’s worth making that search option nice and prominent. You could put it in the side bar sandwiched between a list of related links and surrounded by eye-catching color. You could write in big letters next to it “Want to learn more about [the topic of your website]?” and put a good, high-paying keyword there to increase the chances that they’ll look for the sort of subjects that give good ads. And you could keep your content short to make sure that your readers aren’t saturated with information and leave your site hungry to find out more.

Of course, you’d also need to keep an eye on your ads so that you know when you’re back to earning per click so that you can put the emphasis back on your ads, and away from the Search.

Although if you find then that your new, prominent stocking filler is giving your site greater value, then I guess you can say that Christmas came early this year.

After good submission you will have hundreds of sites pointing/voting for your site. Imagine if all these sites have a text link that says ‘My Keyword’ and the linking goes your www.Your-Keyword-Site-Name.com Search engines will index all these pages with anchored text and you will get up the list for this keyword. You will save hundreds on advertising budgets to one way linking.

Whatever type of content you have on the site, stick to your keywords in naming file names, text links, pages using your keywords.

Search engines will never stop in their fight for bigger scope for indexing. Who knows, maybe one of top search engines will announce shortly the deeper level of indexing. If you make sure to name the files on keyword-wise base, you will score, because filenaming has big potential in terms of content optimization technique for search engines.

(iv) Never stop growing relevant content.

When you got the bots of search engines dwelling on your site pages, make sure to update content on regular basis, quality content. Search engines loves gradual and quality growth - even 2 new articles per day are fine, if these articles fit and up to the point.

Combine the tips above with smart SEO and your competitors will stand in line to join you.

Why Russian Nesting Dolls Make Such Popular Gifts All Year Round

Russian nesting dolls are also known as Matryoshka dolls or Babushka Dolls. The name Matryoshka is a diminutive form of a popular Russian female name “Matryona” and “Babushka” is the Russian for grandmother. These dolls are brightly hand painted wooden dolls made in such a way that they can be taken apart to reveal smaller dolls fitting inside one another.

The first set of Matryoshka dolls was produced in Russia in 1890, in a colorful Russian market town called Serviev Posad about 50 miles from Moscow, inspired by a set of souvenir dolls from Japan. In 1900, the dolls were presented at the World Exhibition in Paris earning a bronze medal and within no time their popularity spread, and craftsmen all over Russia began creating these dolls. Soon many other places in Russia started making nesting dolls of various styles. There are usually between five to thirty or more figures in a set, but there can be many more. A set of 72 nesting dolls, the largest being one meter high was created to celebrate the birthday of Lenin in 1970.

The traditional theme is peasant girls in traditional dress, but they can be found on almost any theme these days - you are just as likely to find nesting dolls devoted to Russian political leaders as you are to find them on animals, sports, fairy tales, cartoon and film themes or even the Beatles. Basically if you can think of a design you are most likely to find it with some on-line stores having over 1000 different styles in stock.

Nesting dolls are so popular that artists outside Russia have now started to produce their own versions. Popular Israeli artist, Yair Emanuel, produces one with exquisite Jerusalem panoramas, and another that is decorated with wedding and floral scenes inspired by the paintings of Mark Chagall.

Nesting dolls make such a good gift since there are so many different themes that you are bound to find one to suit the interests of the person receiving it. Traditionally nesting dolls were given as gifts to wish prosperity and happiness to loved ones. They make marvelous housewarming gifts, children’s birthday gifts, Christmas, Mother’s Day and New Baby Gifts and are also great as Collectibles. Both beautiful and entertaining a set of Nesting Dolls will become a talking point in any home or office, and will be a treasured gift for years to come.

These days you just can’t get by without a cell phone. There are several brands and models available that do a variety of things and have a variety of features. The Motorola Razor V3 phone is a very thin clamshell phone. It was designed to be the thinnest clamshell cell phone on the market today. Its innovative design combines elegance with advanced technology.

The phone is rather wide but not very tall. The phone is made of metal and is quite sturdy. The materials used in making the phone were designed to be strong to protect the phone at maximum efficiency. It will be well protected in case of an accidental drop. You should still be careful with the phone because it is a piece of electronic equipment and the electronics are fragile. But the metal shell does provide a much sturdier protection than typical plastic phones.

The keypad is made of allow and is quite small and tight. It is a touch pad system that is a little odd at first since you do not feel the keys being pushed but once you get used to it, you will be able to type out messages a lot faster. The display is full color and very clear. It includes a camera for high resolution picture taking that you can share with friends or download to your computer. You can also watch videos on the phone. The speaker capabilities will allow you to watch your favorite MPEG videos with full sound.

The Motorola Razor V3 phone is a great phone for both casual and professional use. It not only has a wide array of useful and convenient features but it also looks very stylish. I have tried so many techniques and lost so much money and I can assure you the these want let you down! You have to remember one thing only: start today!
Lots of people keep reading and reading and not doing anything from what they have read, so my best advise is to start doing something. It doesn’t meter what and how, you’ll find the best way eventually; but you have to remember that your main goal after reading this article is to start at least one of those techniques TODAY.

1)
Are you ready for the first one, it’s so simple and yet the most powerful:
Tell your friends, family co-workers and everyone you know about your site.
I know it sound silly but you’ll be amazed of how many people you know and even more amazed of how many people didn’t know about your site.
Don’t forget to add you address to your signature/business card/emails/icq etc.
I promise that you’ll get a lot of free traffic.

2)
This one requires some money investment but I’m sure you can spend a few bucks to get lots and lots and lots of traffic: publish on ebay.
You heard me right - on ebay. I know what you are thinking “I can sell on ebay but I can’t publish, what is he kind of a nut?!”. What you need to do is offer one of your products on ebay and link it to your site. The best way is to start with a really law price and set a high reserve price. That way you’ll also receive lots of email address from all the bidders and you can offer them the product they wanted. If you don’t have any product to offer just write a report on a related topic to your site and sell it as ebook. People are seeking for information and they’ll instantly get in your site to see what else you offer. If you don’t know how to write a report just hire someone to do it for your; you can find great writes that will write you a great ebook with your name and copyrights for a very small fee. Try it today! It’s so cheap and effective.

3)
Add newsletter to your site. It’s the best way to get free email address. I highly recommend adding some freebies to your newsletter- something like an e-course or a new report you have written to encourage your visitors to subscribe to your newsletter. After you have established your address list you can use it to promote your site and products. You can send emails to your members informing them of a new report you have just posted or a new product. One small warning about this technique: don’t send too many email, no one likes spam!

Which Website is the Best for Link Exchange?

Criteria of Exchanging Link

What criteria and tips we should use while exchanging links with other websites?

#1- Quality of Inbound Links:
Notice that the quality of incoming links is important. Sometimes 10 well trusted links have more value than 100 less impressive links.

#2- Relevant Websites:
Exchange links with relevant websites. Google and other Search Engine Robots give a lot of weight to relevancy.

#3- Fewer Outbound Links:
Pay attention to the number of links on the webpage. Exchange links with pages that have fewer than 25 outbound links, because page rank of the page will be divided among outbound links. For example link from a webpage with only 5 outbound links is more valuable than a link from the same webpage with 10 outbound links.

#4- Link at the main page:
Make sure that the website you want to exchange link has been a link at the main page to link page directory. It causes a higher page rank and traffic for link page directory.

#5- Categorized Link Directory:
It is better that they categorize their directory, some websites don’t categorize their links and getting traffic from these sites is a few.

#6- Content Pages:
A link on the bottom of a good content page is always better value than a link on a directory page as more people are likely to click on it.

#7- Indexed with Google:
Do exchanging link with websites that be indexed with Google. You can check that by typing their domain name (www.example.com) into Google search box. It is not important that what website links to you, but if you link to a website that is banned by search engines, they may remove you from their index too.

#8- Vary Link Text:
Use your primary keywords in anchor text, and also use varies keywords. This will make it appear as natural linking to search engines.

Pay-Per-Click Marketing: How to Waste Your Advertising Budget

A well-oiled pay-per-click search engine campaign can land
hundreds of highly targeted visitors on practically any website within a matter of days. That isn’t new information. Most experienced online business owners already know it.

But pay-per-click advertising is also one of the quickest ways to lose money, if it isn’t done right. At the surface level, the process appears to be as simple as writing an advertisement, bidding for keywords, and waiting for traffic and sales to come rolling in. Nothing could be further from the truth, especially in the midst of today’s heated competition for top keywords.

So, for a few minutes, let us play the role of devil’s advocate, as we explore some of the common downfalls encountered by hopeful but inexperienced pay-per-click advertisers.

1. - Making Advertising Decisions Based on Emotion

The excitement of tapping into a new market, and the much
anticipated thrill of watching click counters working overtime, can and often does lead to a hasty decision making process. Add to this a pressing need for a cash infusion, plus a bit of the gambler spirit, and a framework for failure will emerge.

2. - Overly Generalized Keyword Selection

Keywords that are too broad in scope can inevitably lead to an excess of non-profitable clicks, driving an otherwise profitable campaign into the red.

For example, a website selling athletic shoes should omit the simple term “shoes” from the keyword list. That term alone may generate a massive number of click-throughs. However, a good portion of the resulting traffic will likely be looking for sandals, dress shoes, or some type of shoe other than athletic designs.

3. - Poorly Worded Advertisements

Pay-per-click ads are notorious for restrictions on allowed word count. While the headline and ad body should contain as many prime keywords as possible, every single word in the ad should be weighed and measured for effect. A vague or loosely related advertisement may pull throngs of curious visitors, but the ultimate value of each of those visitors must also be considered. The point of a great ad is to attract only those who have a purchase already in mind.

4. - Failure to Calculate Bid Value

An untested ad leaves much of this process to theory, but even a theoretical profit model is better than none at all. Otherwise, the urge to bid simply for top positioning may ultimately spell an overall loss of profit.

Three critical points to consider are:

- product pricing
- an acceptable profit margin per sale
- a realistic clicks to sales ratio (CSR)

Let’s say a modest CSR of 1% may be expected, meaning one out of each one-hundred visitors will order immediately. The product is priced at $69 and a 50% profit margin per sale is acceptable. Given these factors, up to 50% of the product price ($34.50) can be spent to achieve the sale and deliver the product.

For the sake of this example, consider that delivery costs are nil. Therefore, $34.50 divided by 100 clicks = $0.345 as an absolute maximum bid per click. There are only three ways to increase the bid above $0.345 while maintaining the integrity of the campaign:

- raise the product price above $69
- increase the CSR above 1%
- accept a lower profit margin per sale

5. - Failure to Track Results and Manage the Campaign

Once the advertising campaign is set in motion, results should be tracked and analyzed on a daily basis. Many pay-per-click search engines now provide in-depth analysis and reporting tools that greatly simplify this process. In addition, specialized pay-per-click tracking software is widely available, and in the absence of a workable alternative, will prove to be a wise investment.

However, based on this writer’s own experience, no two selling days are alike, even on the Internet. We suggest that no fundamental changes be made to the campaign until at least five-hundred click-throughs have been gathered, or until the campaign has been live for several days.

Those suggestions are, of course, only rules of thumb. Any
campaign found to be creating a cash hemorrhage should be
discontinued immediately and thoroughly reevaluated.

6. - Failure to Enable Follow-up Marketing

An inexperienced pay-per-click advertiser might expect to begin turning a profit immediately after the ad goes live online. However sweet a dream that may be, it is often not the case.

Without follow-up capability, the profit potential of any
pay-per-click campaign is severely reduced. A majority of prospects will not buy on their first visit, and may not return to buy later. As a result, the entire campaign may register a net loss on the initial run.

However, even a money-losing initial campaign can be turned into a winner over time, if the campaign is focused not only toward making immediate sales, but also toward producing a mailing list of interested prospects for later follow-up.

The mechanics of the follow-up tactic are beyond the scope of this writing. We invite the reader to visit the link below and investigate a series of articles on follow-up email marketing and the effective use of autoresponder systems.

How Shopping Off-Season and End-of-Season Benefits Your Wallet

Why is it that department stores have end-of-season clearances and sales? To put it simply, any products that they don’t sell within that season are not profitable for them to hold on to for the long run. Styles and models for many different products from clothing to consumer electronics are constantly changing. For a retailer to stock items past their shelf life is costly for them to do. In order to clear out their inventory; prices are slashed to help them move out of the store quicker to make room for newer products and styles. A retailer would much rather slash a products price by 25% rather then losing valuable stock room space to store an item for another year.

Did you notice that stores begin stocking Christmas products in October? Stores will adjust to a season roughly two months before the season starts. This is done to build buyer anticipation and to attract all the early birds who like to get a jump on their shopping. It’s also done so that retailers have an extended period of time to sell their newest products prior to the beginning of the actual season. The goal of this is to generate as much revenue as possible before the season actually starts; and then to clear out the inventory by the midpoint of the season.

So how do you take advantage of this? The simple way is to know what your shopping for and when to buy it. When it comes to seasonal clothing, it’s best to wait until the middle of the season to buy clothing for that season. For example, summer clothing will normally hit the shelves during the month of March or April. Depending on where you live, you may not need to prepare for summer this soon. If it does start early, and your clothes aren’t too dated; you should be able to get by the first two months of the season without any issue. Start shopping for summer clothes around May and June and you’ll notice that the clearances for summer are already starting!

In the world of electronics, there really aren’t any defined seasons. The latest and greatest technologies are the ones that carry the premium price. When shopping for a digital camera, you might find that the newest model carries a 25% price premium over the previous model. Do you really need the newest model? Does the old model carry all the features you need? The fact is the typical consumer won’t use more then 50% of the features available on any electronic device, for a digital camera most people may not use more then 25% of those features! Think about it; how many buttons does your television remote control have and how many times have you used each button? Unless you are taking the time to read the manual and test every feature, you might find that an older model product has all the features you need (as well as tons of other ones that you’ll never use!) If you don’t mind being a model behind, you’ll save significantly.

The laws of economics also holds true to consumer pricing. Supply and demand for a product can increase dramatically when that product is heavily advertised or used. When products are heavily advertised there may not be many discounts on them. You’ll have to wait until the “must-have-it” crowd purchases the product and wait for the supply to increase before you see any discounts. If you stay in tune with the local news, you’ll know exactly which items are hot and flying off the shelves. Those are the products that you will most likely want to avoid purchasing until the “fad” or “craze” dies down.

Those same laws hold true for automobile purchases. If it’s a rough and snowy winter; you can expect to pay more for that all-wheel drive vehicle because the demand and need is there. You might have better luck getting a discount on a soft-top convertible during this time because most people probably don’t want it during that time. While we’re on the topic of automobiles, think about gasoline. Which weekends do they normally predict having the highest demand for gasoline? Any holiday weekend (Memorial Day, Labor Day, the Forth of July). Think ahead by having all your cars filled up before that weekend starts, not on that same day when the gas stations are raising their prices.

So when it comes to shopping, just remember that stores are always one step ahead of you. If you can wait, you’ll end up saving more compared to buying in advance. Sometimes you need to think ‘behind’ to get ahead with your savings!

Those Wonderful Pop-ups - Why do they Work? Why should I care?

Yes, when done right, they do work. You were probably the 3424224th visitor to some website, or maybe you won a 64″ television, or maybe you could buy a web cam that spies on pretty women. Sure, we’ve all seen those pop-ups and more than likely we had closed them with out any consideration. Didn’t we all close them? Not everyone does. Those little pop-ups can actually grab inquiries for you. But I’m not saying to have big and flashy pop-up windows, I’m just suggesting that if don’t right you can tickle a visitor’s interest

You could make a small, unobtrusive popup that simply asks for your name and email and in return you can send them a free report, cheap camera, or even another e-book. Free is free! I’m all for free! I actually found out about a marketing company that purchased cheap imported digital cameras from Taiwan in bulk amounts. These little gems were purchased for 10 cents on the dollar.

The marketing campaign was simple: Give me some information and I’ll give you digital camera. It was all in the name of getting email prospects. How did the company make money on this deal? Well the fact was that you had to pay to have the camera shipped to you, which was about twelve dollars. Heck, the cameras probably cost the marketing company five dollars a piece. But did they really need to purchase many cameras? Well, let’s take a look at their process:
Enter the POPUP — YOU”VE WON A FREE DIGITAL CAMERA! Click here to continue.

CLICK

Enter the request of information screen:
“Simply give us your name, email address and your hobbies before we take you to the next step of getting your FREE digital camera then click the submit button”

CLICK

Thank you for your information (WOW! They got a lot of information from me…plus this step has a privacy policy that let’s the marketing company use my email address to send out any future “offers”)

You only have to pay $12 dollars for shipping and handling to receive your free camera. Please enter your payment informa….

CLICK

*#%!#!$%!$*

Heck, I wasn’t going to give them any money for a free camera. But wait, I gave them my information. I got nothing, but they sure got some useful targeted demographics. This seems deceptive, but it is a powerful approach. Yes, the cost of the camera was nothing, but the cost of shipping was something. This marketing company probably now has 100,000 new email leads and a bunch of cheap digital cameras in their possession…all of this stemming from a silly popup.

We can learn from this…the right words are powerful. If you have things that can cost you nothing but gain you powerful email leads, by all means, use them. But you MUST be careful. If you use a three-step process like the camera scenario, you must be forward in your privacy policy and why you are collecting data about your inquiries.
