Make sure the online video poker web site is evaluated by a secure and honest certified public accountants firm in order to inspect their wagers pay-outs consistently. Always be sure to ensure the online casino gaming web site is licensed verifiably, such as by looking for the ministerial license on the webpage. If it’s not possible to track down any ministerial license on a particular online casino gaming web site, don’t even think of gambling on that site.

Further advice would obviously be to place your wager initially in negligible amounts in lieu of dole out big amounts of money off the cuff. First thing, check the status of the online casino gaming organization rather than going for any serious adversity- the more so in regards to money… Finally, here is another notable word of wisdom in regards to online gaming. It is bound to be to always remind yourself that online wagering is about amusement rather than big bucks. The difficulty of going to a betting room can be enough reason to forget about it altogether. So silence those hormones of yours to absorb the material below. Here is my framework that will expound how to pick out respectable online poker establishments.

Make sure the online poker host is overseen by a secure and honest bookkeeping firm so as to assay the casino games pay-out percentages in a monthly manner.

Online Gambling Operators Rethinking their Asian Strategies

Beyond, here are a few select additional details concerning ascertaining your virtual texas holdem host. Always confirm the virtual texas holdem host has a license, for example by tracking down the governmental authorization as presented on the casino site’s About page. If you fail to determine any governmental authorization on any given virtual texas holdem host, don’t think of betting there.

Following next, you’ll chew over very comprehensively the diverse bonuses that the virtual texas holdem host presents clients with. Moreover, another advice would obviously be to play for a start with smallish sums in place of fooling away top dollars straightaway. Check, first of all, the health of the virtual texas holdem operation rather than going for any severe injury, particularly money loss… And now, my last most crucial word of wisdom concerning online casino gambling. It is, expectably, to never neglect that all gambling should be primarily about fun and pleasure rather than money. Gambling isn’t a profession, rather, it is a hobby that is supposed to help you feel ecstatic and your life fun.

Thus, having followed the guidelines expounded above, you can now give in to the charisma of virtual texas holdem… :)

Why Should Anyone Use Poker Chips?

Poker has been around for a long time. Lately, this does not happen only in the casinos but also in television as well. To those who want to play for fun, getting something similar to the real thing will help and that includes the poker chips.

People will agree that this is better than using peanuts or toothpicks when playing the game. Chips represents real cash that adds a certain level of thrill which is what gambling is all about. Those used for the home usually come in 4 colors in 10, 25, 50 and 100 denominations.

Casinos use poker chips to represent a certain amount of money. The chips used in the usually weigh between 9.5 to 10 grams each and range from a dollar to five hundred dollars.

Poker chips are made of different materials. For those who want to get the cheap kind, the one made of plastic will do. These thin layered chips usually come in the standard colors of red, white, yellow and blue that can be purchased at the local toy store.

For people who want something similar to the real thing, then investing in the kind made of clay is better. These chips come in different sizes and weight that correspond to a certain value of money.

Since the price range of both differ by a huge margin, the person must think how often it will be used before buying it. In between these two, there is a kind that is made of metal weight which people can also buy.

After deciding which kind to buy, the next thing to think about is how many chips to buy. A standard game starts with each player having 80 chips. If there are always four players playing, then getting a little over 320 chips will be just fine.

Poker chips can also be custom made to the specifications of the customer. This may come in different colors and designs with a personal logo that will surely make it stand out during every card game.

To make sure that these don’t get lost, it is best to invest in a plastic rack to hold the chips when these are not being used.

Poker chips can also be bought in a set so that the individual does not have to buy a rack to hold it. The price range of these items can be from $5 to around $250. This can be bought in a toy store or in the shops that specialize in gambling accessories.

Should this appear to be expensive, then another option is ordering it from the web which can be delivered in a few days.

Casinos use poker chips to make sure there is order on the table. This is also used to monitor how much money is on the floor. Surely, everyone will agree that this is better than putting cash on the table which can be confusing and messy since these could also get lost.

To those who play this often, it will be a good idea to buy one for the home. Poker is not the same if it does not feel like the real thing. By using cards and poker chips when playing the game, it will really make the players take the game seriously which makes it both fun and exciting.

Are Online Poker Sites Rigged?

Online poker sites have come under suspicion of being rigged almost since the start of online poker. There have always been rumours flying around the internet that the tables were rigged. People who played on the poker sites online (usually the ones who lost of course) moaned that there was a much higher chance of suffering a “bad beat” online than there was in a real poker game.

Well the truth is they are right on one count but wrong on the other.

Firstly, there is no way that the major online poker rooms are rigged. These are multi-million dollar a year industries that do just fine the way they are, there is absolutely no need for them to be fixed or rigged in any way. Can you imagine what it would do for the business if it was to emerge that one of the main poker sites was fixed? Their customers would disappear like snow off a roof, and there is nothing surer than the fact that if one of the sites was rigged, the information would find it’s way out eventually. If there is anything dubious going on it would have been done by a human being and they tend not to be able to keep secrets forever!

Secondly, yes it is true - there is more chance that you’ll get a bad beat in an online poker game than in a regular table game at home or in a casino. The reason for this however is not that there are “bent” tables, the reason lies with the players themselves. The online poker player is a different breed from his real table counterpart and bets in a different way. There are a few possible reasons for this, but whether it is because the game doesn’t seem as real because there’s nothing that’s actually tangible, or maybe it’s just that the standard of play is much lower online, the fact remains that people playing online tend to bet more and on worse hands than those offline.

People will play almost any hand online and often the whole game is just one of bluff and bigger bluff. Almost everybody - especially on the lower money tables - wants to be involved in every hand. So the fact that more people are in to see the flop means that there’s much more chance of you picking up a “bad beat”. That 2 7 which most people would throw away as if it was burning their hands becomes a whole lot more attractive if the flop is 7 7 2!

So the bottom line is that the online poker sites are not fixed or rigged in any way, it’s just the players that can be a bit unpredictable!

Introduction to Betting Exchanges and Lay Betting

Why A Betting Exchange Offers You The Key To Successful
Gambling

–> Introduction

Too many gamblers are still living in the ‘dark ages’ and will
only ever place a bet with a traditional bookmaker. They either
can’t be bothered to learn how the exchanges work or simply
don’t realise the features and value that can be had when
betting within an exchange environment.

Believe me, using a betting exchange is very easy, and if you
are not already using at least one exchange you should join one
immediately after reading this article…

I’m not saying that a betting exchange should be used for all
your betting. There will still be occasions when a traditional
bookmaker will offer more desirable odds than those that are
available on the exchanges. However, in the majority of cases
you will find better value on the exchanges and additionally
there are other VERY IMPORTANT features that only the betting
exchanges offer. More on this later…

–> So What Is A Betting Exchange?

Put very simply, betting exchanges are a secure place where
members of the betting public can exchange bets with each other
anonymously, at odds that they specify themselves. The exchange
companies simply act as the ‘middleman’ and match peoples bets.

As there are no bookie margins to factor in, prices are very
often more desirable. The betting exchange companies make their
money by taking a commission payment on your winning bets. This
is usually in the region of 3 - 5%, but even taking this into
account, it’s very common to find better prices on the exchange.

The cumulative effect of better prices when combined with a good
staking plan, can make the difference between you generating a
healthy profit or a bad loss. Using an exchange does not mean
you will automatically win more frequently! You still have to
find good value winning bets yourself or via a professional
tipster but it’s the effect of getting a better return on your
winning bets that will boost your betting bank and protect you
during losing streaks.

Most people use the betting exchanges on the internet, but you
can also place bets on the telephone.

–> Betting Exchange Advantages

As well as regularly finding better prices when backing a
selection, exchanges also give the gambler some other very
important advantages over traditional bookmakers.

–> Some of the key advantages are:

1) The ability to LAY a selection if you think it will not win.

2) The ability to BACK or LAY a selection to be PLACED. (This is
very different to the well know Each Way bet offered by bookies
and can be very powerful).

3) Betting IN RUNNING on many events INCLUDING HORSE RACING.
This can give you many advantages and opens the door to new
methods that may secure you more profits.

4) If you are very successful, you will not have the exchange
company threatening to shut your account down.

5) The ability to TRADE on price movements in betting events to
guarantee yourself a profit regardless of the result.

6) Arbitrage Opportunities. Bookie and exchange price
discrepancies often allow you to take a NO RISK bet.

Those are some of the key benefits of using a betting exchange
and I will dig deeper into these and explain how you can use
them to your advantage in future betting articles.

For the remainder of this article, lets concentrate on point 1,
LAYING a selection to Lose.

–> LAYING To Lose - A Major Advantage Of The Betting
Exchanges

Probably the most important feature of a betting exchange is the
ability to LAY a selection. But what does laying a selection
mean?

Laying a selection is often referred to as ‘Playing the role of
a bookmaker’. Like a bookie, you offer a price against a
selection / event happening (eg. a certain horse to win a race
or a football match ending as a draw). You only do this if in
your opinion there is a great chance that the horse won’t win or
the football match will not end as a draw. The betting exchanges
simply match your lay bets with other customers who think the
opposite of you (eg they think the horse will win or the match
will end as a draw).

–> Lay Liabilities

The odds that you offer determine how much money you will need
to ‘pay out’ if the selection actually wins (just like the
bookie does when you have a winning bet with them). So if you
were to place a lay bet of £10 at 5.0 (4/1) against a selection,
you would be liable to pay out £40 from your account if that
selection won (The other punter gets their £10 back plus £40
profit). If however, the selection does lose you get to keep the
£10 staked by the other punter (just like the bookies have done
with all your losing bets all these years!). It’s as simple as
that.

Now, you might be thinking ‘great, I’ll simply lay all the rank
outsiders and clean up’. STOP! Don’t even go down this route. If
you keep placing lay bets on selections trading with very high
odds (eg 50/1), you will win regularly but when 1 of them comes
first you will probably wipe out all your winnings and more! A
single £10 lay bet at 50/1 would see you liable for paying out
£500 should the selection win!

Therefore, I strongly recommend that you decide upon a sensible
upper limit for lay odds and stick to it no matter what. Just
think about how many favourites get turned over in horse races
every day of the year that are perhaps available to lay at very
short odds like 1.5 (1/2). Your liability on a £10 lay bet at
these odds is only £5, or £50 on a £100 lay bet. I like to keep
my lay bets at odds below 4.0 (3/1) but that’s just my own
personal choice but it gives you something to go on.

–> Flexible Odds / Placing an Order

The odds you offer obviously need to be realistic in order to be
matched, but if you are not happy with the current price being
requested by other punters you can simply place an ‘order’ in
the exchange at your odds and hope that somebody eventually
accepts your offer. (eg you may feel that the current price of
3.0 (2/1) is too high a price to lay a certain selection, so
offer a lay bet at 2.75 (7/4) instead). If your lucky the price
may well be matched. If the event starts without your lay bet
being matched, your bet is simply cancelled so you gain/lose
nothing.

–> Summary

Lay Betting might sound very confusing to the exchange newbie,
but believe me it soon becomes very straightforward and you will
find yourself laying selections much more frequently than you
think. Let’s be honest, it must be easier to pick a horse you
feel will definitely lose in a average 12 runner race, than find
the single winner!

Well that’s it for part 1 of my betting exchange articles and
all that’s left for me to say now is that if you don’t already
have at least one betting exchange account, please open one
right now. It will only take you five minutes and you’ll soon be
thinking ‘How did I ever bet without using an exchange’?

For your convenience, I have included here a link to BetFair<
/b> which is currently the most popular betting exchange. If you
decide to only have 1 betting exchange account, then I strongly
recommend it is with BetFair.

In part 2, I will be explaining the Betting Exchange Place
markets and how you can benefit from them.

A Guided Tour of an Online Casino Directory

Using the comprehensive online casino directory CasinoBrain as our guide, we will lay out in this article the features you should expect from a high quality online casino directory.

Top Lists

In all their catchy, short attention span suiting, bottom-line giving glory. A good online casino directory will cut straight to the bone and save you the trouble of sifting through the reviews their writer-players so tirelessly toiled over. A great sampling of top lists might include the following: Top Casinos, Top Casino Payouts, Top Bonuses, Top No Deposit Bonuses.

Casino Reviews

The meat of the online casino directory (or its heart if you prefer). Online casino savvy writers visit each of the sites reviewed, peruse its offerings, play its games, and compare and contrast one against the other.

CasinoBrain’s reviews give you a comprehensive idea of what criteria a good online casino directory should examine in evaluating an online casino: An overall summary, screenshot(s) of the actual casino itself, overall score/grade, bonuses and promotions, payout percentages (by game), software and graphics, games (including game-specific info on limits and stakes), payouts, cashouts, and Security (including payment methods accepted for each, procedures for each, and encryption technology employed), and customer Support (including methods of contact — email, telephone, live chat).

CasinoBrain has even created a system of eye-catching and colorful icons that represent some of the more common attributes of online casinos for quick and easy reference when perusing the online casino directory reviews. Attributes like: Progressive Jackpots, MultiPlayer Games, Sportsbook, No Download, Signup Bonus, and others!

Casino Game Rules

A good online casino directory should teach you how to play the games offered at the online casinos they list. At the very least, an online casino directory should teach the rules of the most popular games, such as Baccarat, Blackjack, Craps, Keno, Roulette, Slots, and Video Poker.

Betting Systems

Some players swear by them. A good online casino directory devoted to giving players all the facts possible should explain in depth the most widely-used betting systems online or off. These include: the 1-2-3-6 System, the D’Alenbert System, the Labouchere System, the Martingale System, the Parlay System, and the Paroli System.

Gaming Software

A quality online casino directory will list the various major software makers that are used to run the online casinos, even allowing you to sort online casino by the software they run. Examples include Microgaming, Playtech, Real Time Media and WagerLogic.

Payment Methods

Of interest to many players also is information about the various Payment Methods you could choose to use to fund (and withdraw from) your online casino accounts.

All in all, a good online casino directory will act as your most trusted, comprehensive resource and should help make your online gaming experience even more fun!

Are Online Casinos Safe?

How do you know whether you can trust online casinos? Will they pay up when you win? How do you know that the games aren’t fixed? After all when the games are digitised they don’t have to be random to appear random. Online casinos could fix it so that the odds are much more favourable to them than they appear. What might seem like bad luck could be a complex algorithm generating the results that the house needs to win based on your choices.

Obviously though, if as a company you are intending to be in business for the long term then you must have the trust of your customers. If you operate a casino that no-one trusts then you’ll have no gamblers. And no gamblers means no profit, which means your business goes under. To these ends the majority of online gambling sites, including online casinos, utilise random number generating software from well known and trusted companies like Wager Works, Micro Gaming, Play Tech and Cryptologic. If you are gambling online for the first time or looking for a new site to join then it pays to do some research into the company. Find out how long they’ve been established for if you can. A site that has been operational for a while will probably be legitimate because it doesn’t take long to lose your customers or get shut down if you’re not. Check what random number generating software they use.

Having said this there are a small number of rogue casinos out there. They are generally short-lived, aiming for the ‘quick kill’ and then disappearing as quickly as they arrived. There have also been allegations of cheating made against larger online casinos such as Casino Bar. Allegations of cheating have also been made against some of the random number generating software companies, however they have never been confirmed. Series of random events do occasionally generate apparent patterns, it is to be mathematically expected.

There are online casino blacklists containing lists of rogue casino sites to avoid. However it should be noted that different authors of these blacklists have different opinions on why casinos have made their lists. Read the reasons given for each casino’s blacklisting and decide for yourself if you want to play there.

The Wizard of Odds’ blacklist
Casinomeister’s list of rogue casinos
Casino Man’s Blacklist

A final consideration is that many casinos are licensed out of foreign countries and are therefore not subject to the scrutiny of the UK regulatory bodies. The majority of online casinos are safe, and fun, and if you win you could win a lot of money. Perhaps enough to hit the tables of Monte Carlo or Las Vegas with style!

Play Craps Like a Pro

To the beginner, a game like Craps can be rather daunting. Once you have learned the basics and know the rules, however, you will find the game rather simple to grasp. As always, strategy plays an important role and following a calculated and intelligent strategy will assure any player of good, if not always winning, results.

A crucial part of craps is for the player to understand that it is a game of rounds. Not much can be done to manipulate the outcome at craps. Instead of trying to predict the result of a single roll, a strategically well-planned game involves riding on the outcome and accordingly varying the amount of a bet. You must bet more when you are winning and less when you are losing.

Using the Odds
Try to use high-odds bets and be mentally prepared that you will not win each time the dice is rolled. Hence, take the best odds you can manage, use them in your favor as far as possible and play cleverly. The best odds on the table, in a game of Craps are Pass, Don’t Pass, Come, Don’t Come.

Most bets can be added to, removed or deducted from, at any point of time. There are certain exceptions to this which are the come and pass bets where the player cannot go beyond the maximum bet on the odds. It is said that a Pass bet gives the house a 1.41% edge whereas a Don’t Pass bet gives a little less than 1.41%. These Line Bets form the core of a winning strategy. A part from this a player, in order to improve the best bet, must concentrate upon the Odds. He must either buy Odds in a Pass or Lay Odds in case of ‘Don’t Pass’. This plan improves your initial bet because the house takes on edge on Odds.

Place an Odds Bet by supplementing the initial Pass/ Don’t Pass with an incremental amount after the Come Out roll. Generally you must buy the biggest Odds possible for the greater the Odds bet, in betting the maximum here you minimize the house advantage.

Here’s a basic rule that you can follow: If you’re Laying Odds, let the Initial Don’t Pass bet be a multiple of $6 and then bet full on your Double Odds for a multiple of $12. Similarly, when Buying Odds, make your Pass bet a multiple of $5 so as to make the Double Odds, multiples of $10.

Don’t Pass for Success
Most players choose to play right and Buy the Odds as the paybacks appear to be larger. But here’s a piece of advice to those, playing seriously to win. The strategy is to look at playing wrong so as to take the smaller house edge and grind it out. Playing Wrong and Laying Odds is for seasoned players with a big roll and who for those who have the perseverance to spread the wins over longer play time.

When it comes to Double Odds, it may be safer to not Lay Double on each round. Let’s take a look at probabilities. You will find that there are four ways to roll a 5 and 9, three ways to roll 4 and 10 and five ways in which you will roll 6 or 8. Finally, there are 6 ways to roll a 7. Here’s the catch, when you’re betting wrong and going for Double Odds, the 6’s and 8’s will appear frequently making you lose the bet. Hence a good strategy will be to play Double Odds on the 4’s and 10’s.

Be Humble
One last piece of advice which comes direct from experience: Before you arrive at the table, try to know the rules and the basic terminology used in the game. Craps has its own language which may seem complicated to a novice but can easily be learned with practice. There is nothing more annoying than a pushy player who has no idea what he (it is usually a he) is doing. Make sure to learn the basic terminology, and be humble enough to admit that you may not know everything about the game

Inside the Boxscores is a weekly feature from Matt Fargo that has been widely recognized as the best summation in college football over the past four years. He takes an in-depth look at each game and pulls out the most pertinent information that will help you handicap games in the future. College football is filled with quirky plays, misleading scores and surprise endings. Fargo takes you inside the action.

BOISE STATE 56 New Mexico St 6

New Mexico St. looked like it would give the Broncos a game in the first quarter, but the Broncos scored the final 49 points of the game. The Aggies drove down to the Broncos 34-yard line on their first possession before getting intercepted and then scoring on their next possession. Boise St. held them to 18 yards on their next 12 possessions while putting up 524 yards of offense.

Louisiana Tech 27 UTAH STATE 17

Utah St. outgained the Bulldogs 478-276 but four lost fumbles led to 17 points for Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs had only one scoring drive more than 44 yards as their average starting field position was their own 40-yard line compared to the 19-yard line for Utah St. The Aggies were driving late to make it a one possession game but another fumble closed the door.

(15) OREGON 27 (23) California 20

The Ducks scored in overtime and then held Cal on four plays to pull out the win. The Bears had a chance to win in regulation but missed a 53-yard field goal. Cal was able to tie the game with less than a minute remaining in the third quarter and both defenses pitched a shutout in the final 15 minutes. Cal had just 301 yards of offense but had 213 yards rushing on 39 carries (5.5 ypc).

(25) COLORADO 41 Missouri 12

Colorado outgained the Tigers 396-276 but the defense was able to stop the Missouri rushing game, holding it to just 59 yards on 30 carries (2.0 ypc). The Buffaloes ran for 136 yards but the passing game was the difference with a 75 percent completion rate. Missouri scored one touchdown on a fumble return and while it had only five penalties, four gave Colorado first downs.

NC State 20 (9) FLORIDA STATE 15

NC State held the Seminoles to just 227 total yards including 43 yards rushing on 23 caries (1.9 ypc). The Wolfpack had just 281 yards of offense but made it count with three long scoring drives. VIRGINIA 51 Temple 3

Virginia held Temple to 170 total yards and 11 first downs and the Owls were forced to punt on their first six possessions. Temple rushed for 10 yards on 27 carries (0.4 ypc) while the Cavaliers racked up 262 yards on the ground on 45 carries (5.8 ypc). Virginia crossed midfield on nine of its first 11 possessions and finished the game a perfect 8-8 inside the redzone.

Army 27 AIR FORCE 24

Army won its second straight game despite getting outgained 433-360. Air Force coughed the ball up twice including its last possession where it was driving down for at least the tying field goal. Special teams played a big role in Army’s success as its average starting position was its own 42-yard line enabling the Black Knights to cross midfield in its first nine possessions.

(4) Alabama 17 MISS STATE 0

The Alabama defense scored two touchdowns and that defense carried the offense that turned the ball over three times in Mississippi St. territory. The Bulldogs managed just 108 yards of offense and eight first downs. Mississippi St. couldn’t capitalize on a fumble recovery in the first quarter as it was stopped on fourth down at the Alabama 10-yard line, the last time it crossed midfield.

(12) OHIO STATE 40 Illinois 2

The Buckeyes went over 40 points for the third straight game as they racked up 526 total yards of offense. The defense held Illinois to 160 total yards and nine first downs while forcing the Illini to punt on 10 of their 11 possessions. The only Illinois score came on a PAT return as the offense never got inside the Ohio St. 30-yard line.

(10) PENN STATE 35 (14) Wisconsin 14

The Penn St. offense tallied 520 total yards but miscues kept the Badgers closer than they should have been. The Nittany Lions crossed midfield in seven of their first eight possessions but threw two interceptions and missed a field goal. Wisconsin didn’t get the offense moving until late as 189 of its 302 total yards came in the 4th quarter. The Badgers rushed for -11 yards on 34 carries.

TROY 28 Fla Atlantic 14

Florida Atlantic took a seven-point lead into halftime but the Troy defense took over in the second half, holding the Owls to 105 total yards. The Trojans picked off a pass deep in its own territory and then drove down the field to tie the game. Troy then drove 80-yards on its next possession for the game winning score.

Florida Intl 31 UL-MONROE 29

UL-Monroe outgained the Panthers 484-295 but five drives inside the FIU 33-yard line resulted in no points thanks to two fumbles, two turnovers on downs and a missed 35-yard field goal with 12 seconds remaining that would have given them the win. Florida International returned a fumble 73 yards for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter, a possible swing of 14 points.

NEVADA 38 Hawaii 28

Hawaii outgained Nevada 461-440 but the Warriors had two turnovers in the 4th quarter in their own territory that led to 14 points for the Wolf Pack. Nevada used a balanced attack of 236 yards rushing and 204 yards passing to control over 13 more minutes of the clock. The Wolf Pack was also able to run 21 more plays and had four drives that were 10 plays or more.

Let It Ride Poker

Let it ride is a poker variation. The object of the game is to get a pair of 10s or better using three cards dealt to the player and two “community” cards given to the dealer. In this game everyone plays against the casino.

To start with, each player makes three bets of equal amount. Then the dealer gives each player three cards and takes two community cards placed face down. After seeing their first three cards each player has the choice to take one of their three bets back or to leave it out and ‘let it ride’.

Then the dealer turns over one of the two community cards, which apply to all hands on the table, and each player has the option to take out another bet or to ‘let it ride’. The player may leave their bet in or take it out the second time irrespective of their first decision.

The dealer then shows the second community card. Winners are paid based on hands which have a pair of 10s or better with a pair of 10s paying even money, as follows:

Tens or better 1 to 1

Two pair: pays 2 to 1

Three of a kind: pays 3 to 1

Straight: pays 5 to 1

Flush: pays 8 to 1

Full house: pays 11 to 1

Four of a kind: pays 50 to 1

Straight flush: pays 200 to 1

Royal flush: pays 1,000 to 1
