How to Make Money Selling Other People’s Stuff

In affiliate marketing, an affiliate marketer doesn’t need to have their own products and services to sell. All they need to do is to refer people to the merchant’s business site for them to buy the products and thereby, earn a commission. Affiliate marketing is great for beginners new to the internet business as well as those that want to add to their current business.

That sounds a great idea – what do I need to be good at Affiliate Marketing?

Well, obviously a computer, but also a web site will make life a lot easier, but mostly you need a great affiliate program and an efficient and detailed marketing strategy.

So how you choose the right affiliate program for yourself? Here’s Some Tips

Information: Join affiliate forums and learn some tips and get suggestions from experienced affiliate marketers. Find a program that suits your interests and experience.

Quality of the Program: As an affiliate marketer your goal is not only to make visitors of your site click the link to the business site; but more importantly, to promote the product so they buy it. They don’t buy – you don’t earn. Make sure the products you are endorsing are worthwhile or in the business context, saleable. Ask yourself: if I were the customer, would I buy it? Would I recommend it to my family or good friends? If you can’t convince yourself or your family and friends to buy it, take a look at your next option.

Compensation Level: Carefully study the company’s compensation plan. Your purpose for joining the program is to earn, so make sure you’ll be paid for all your efforts fairly.

Marketing Pack: If you do not have the time or ability to create graphics, sales pages or articles, choose affiliate programs that help you create these for your web site. It would be great if the company provides training on how to effectively market products online. Remember that affiliate marketing is a partnership, so make sure your partner is able to support you as you help him promote their products and services.

Write down all the advantages and disadvantages of each program you are considering so you can clearly see the difference among your options; then later, compare the advantages of the programs with your own checklist. Take time to gather all the info you need to choose the right program.

Remember an informed choice is the best choice.

Online Jewelry Store. A good proposition for Internet Marketers?

Jewelry as a form of revenue should not be overlooked by any
serious-online-entrepreneur. Why? Read on…

We are often asked why we got into the jewelry industry. Easy
answer to that one… “Do you know a poor Goldsmith”?

Seriously though, the onset of e-commerce revolutionized the
trading of precious stones, gold, and most of the other raw
materials that are combined to produce jewelry. To a large
extent pricing was previously controlled by diamond merchants
like De Beers and retailing by jewelry chain stores charging
top-dollar for a mediocre product. Online trading changed all
that. Mining companies found that they could deal with
manufacturers directly and luxury jewelry became more
accessible. What didn’t change was the consumers’ perception of
the value of high-end jewelry.

Unless your into silicone chips, there is no other item we can
think of that offers the kind of turnover in relation to the
size of the item*, as jewelry. This means it is easy to handle,
you don’t need huge storage facilities or complex packaging
systems. If you want to, you can set up a multi-national empire
in a one bedroom apartment.

If you “buy clever” (which we hope you will, after reading this)
you will be able to store a months inventory in a small to
medium sized safe. Added to that, very little can go wrong with
say, a diamond ring after it is sold and warranty claims are
therefore minimal.

So what do we mean by “buy clever”? Well, as a rule of thumb,
your buying price for any item should be no more than a tenth of
the market price. e.g. After researching the market you find
that the average sale price for a 10K gold ring is $100.00. You
then need to find a source that sells something similar for
$10.00. Can it be done? Yes. Are there sources online that offer
a 900% lift? Yes. Where do I find them? Sorry but we can’t
divulge that information, it’s down to you to do the research
but I assure you they are there and can be found online.

The above points, added to the quite phenomenal profit margins
attached to jewelry, make this product group a very interesting
and viable proposition.

In the meantime, here is a snippet of information to consider. A
relatively expensive item of jewelry for a small local jeweler
would be in the region of $20,000.00, the production cost for
that very same item is around €500.00. Now we are not saying
that you are likely to earn $19,500.00 on single items but this
does illustrate the potential.

*The “en tremblant” flower brooch by Bulgari, 1958, which
achieved $1.1 million (1998) in auction at Christies, is an
extreme but good example, further examples can be found on the
Christie’s web site.

How Many Affiliate Online Checks Do You Want To Receive?

Affiliate Marketing is by far, one of the easiest ways to make money online. It is a revenue sharing business relationship between the affiliate who agrees to promote the products or services, and the merchant who offers them.

The affiliate advertises the merchant’s products and services and gets a commission for every successful referral. Every time a customer is referred to the merchant’s site, through the affiliate’s efforts, and makes a purchase, the affiliate gets a share of the profit. No payment is due to the affiliate until successful results are realized. Compensation is based on either number of visits (Pay-per-click), registrant (Pay-per-lead), or commission for each sale (Pay-per-sale).

Affiliate Marketers can earn a few bucks to thousands of dollars with affiliate programs. The opportunity to earn in affiliate marketing can only be limited by the affiliate’s determination, creativity and strategy. It is a brilliant way to earn online, and you do not have to produce your own product or service to make a buck. By advertising your merchant’s products passionately, you get more in return. Profits in affiliate marketing usually start small but can get larger as the campaign starts to build up steam.

There are many ways that an affiliate marketer can do to maximize their profits. If you ask any affiliate marketer how many affiliate checks they would want to receive, they will most likely want to get as many as possible. Some affiliate checks are small, amounting to nothing more than $25.
While others are large and can easily reach the thousands and even more. Over time, these affiliate checks may build up to a really impressive amount. However, making a fortune in affiliate marketing is not instant. You should put in enough work and effort as well. You have to use your imagination to find more ways to attract more web traffic that can convert to sales for the merchant and profit for you as well.

How many affiliate checks do you want to receive? Most affiliate marketers will enthusiastically reply that they want to receive as many affiliate checks as possible. However, is it as easy as it sounds? Does joining many affiliate marketers guarantee more affiliate checks that really amount to something? The answer is No. Most affiliate marketers assume that joining multiple affiliate programs is a wise option. Because, it is very easy to join affiliate programs and there is really nothing to lose, affiliate marketers are tempted to join as many programs they can get their hands on. Thus, they fail to give their affiliate programs enough attention and work that they ought to receive. The maximum potential of the affiliate programs are not realized and the resulting income from these programs will almost certainly be disappointing.

The best way to achieve multiple streams of income is to concentrate on one affiliate program first. Choose a product or service that you can promote passionately. Pick a product in which you have complete trust. The best products and services to promote are those that you use personally. Your prospects will be able to sense your sincerity whenever you promote a product that you have experienced. This will greatly enhance your credibility as well as your product’s marketability and will really encourage your prospect to purchase or avail of the product or service.

As soon as your first affiliate program is making a reasonable profit then you can proceed to joining another affiliate program and repeat the process. “Too much, too soon” is a common pitfall in affiliate marketing. Joining too many affiliate programs simultaneously in the hopes of having multiple streams of income simply does not work.

Focus first on one affiliate program and work on it so that it makes a good profit. Then, go find another promising program and give it your best effort. The question should not be how many affiliate checks you want to receive, but how many “high-paying” affiliate checks can you receive. The answer lies in your determination to succeed and determination to maximize your earning potential. With the right tools, the right actions, and perseverance you can definitely make a good profit out of affiliate marketing.

Top Adsense Online Affiliates: Why They Tend To Be Bloggers

Have you noticed yet how more and more top Adsense online affiliates tend to be bloggers? It is interesting how quickly bloggers have embraced and mastered what is being referred to as one of the most amazing communication and publishing mediums ever invented.

Like every medium, there are certain rules that govern the success of blogs and it seems that anybody who is able to master these rules suddenly finds that they have an extremely powerful communication tool in their hands. By mastering the techniques that generate a high number of links and therefore traffic to their blogs, most bloggers have almost effortlessly joined the ranks of top Adsense online affiliates.

The amazing thing is that blogs by their very nature are able to pick up links and traffic at such a high rate that from a cold start a blog can rapidly rise to have tens of thousands of hits daily. That is the kind of traffic that creates a top Adsense online affiliate and guarantees a very high income not only from the Adsense affiliate program but also from any other program that is highly relevant to the blog’s audience.

It is therefore hardly surprising that many of the top Adsense online affiliates these days tend to be bloggers.

“Do Ask, Do Tell” - Top 10 Most Helpful Online Customer Survey Resources

One of the key factors in a successful business is to know what your customers or clients are thinking - about your business, your products, your services. As a business owner, you’ll get feedback from your current customers just in the course of day-to-day business. But the results can be skewed by the interaction itself, and so most business owners find it useful to allow their customers to answer questions anonymously. And that’s where surveys come in.

Some businesses hire market research firms to survey their customers or target customers. For new or smaller businesses, this can be an expensive proposition, and it’s helpful to have a set of resources in your tool box that offer the option of conducting your own surveys. Here are some great online resources you can use for surveys.

They range from the simplest polls which you can create and place on your web site to much more elaborate options. Many of them allow the survey respondents to see the results from themselves and others as soon as they complete the survey. Some of these companies offer a set of services for free as well as more powerful paid services; others offer free 30-day trials of their most robust services. Some are geared towards smaller businesses, other towards large enterprises with thousands of employees. There’s also a wide range of continuum between letting you design and add your own surveys to your web site, versus having them create a survey, find your target market, query them, and report back the results.

1. SurveyMonkey - If you have a large mailing list or want to send a lot of surveys, the best deal here is the professional subscription. For $19.95 month, you can send an unlimited number of surveys and receive up to 1000 responses per month.

2. Zoomerang - I love their slogan, “Easiest way to ask, fastest way to know.” Offers a basic product (free) plus paid packages geared to education, non-profit, and a professional version, which can send surveys in several languages, and has no limit on the number of responses you can receive.

3. SnapPoll - Simple site which offers you an easy way to put a one-question survey on your web site and receive results. Requires no sign-up, allows you to customize colors for the form, and prevent multiple “votes” from the same person. Free - supported by what they call “non-obtrusive advertising.”

4. PHP Form Generator - This is a free survey generator that is written as open source code. You can choose as many questions as you’d like - in any format - check, text, drop-downs, etc.) You do have to create your own stats, but it’s a fairly simple procedure for small surveys.

5. OneMinutePoll - Software - available at a yearly subscription price - that teaches you how to write surveys correctly to find out what your customers want, so you can provide it to them! Software automates your polls, generates code for your web page, and allows you to see results in real-time.

6. Advanced Survey - Free and paid services that offer both web page surveys and email surveys (where you invite participants - via email - to take a survey). You can ask multiple questions in one survey, and can ask yes/no questions, open-ended text questions, customizable number scales (Pick a number from 1 to 10 with 10 being best, for example), and multiple choice.

7. Question Pro - Very sophisticated system for surveying customers. Has predesigned templates for common surveys: Customer Satisfaction, New Product/Concept Testing, Product Surveys, Conference Feedback, and more. These surveys can also be designed with “branching,” where the answer to one question is used in a subsequent question. No free options here, but there is a 30-day free trial.

8. Relevant Tools - This company offers custom web forms with automatic email response for as little as $10/month for a basic membership, which includes up to 500 database records and up to 500 email messages/month.

9. HotScripts - A great resource for programmers and webmasters. It has a host of scripts in various programming languages and is constantly being updated by programmers from around the world. If you search on “surveys,” you’ll find lots of scripts in lots of programming languages you can use.

10.NetReflector - Offers a very sophisticated self-serve solution for the do-it-yourselfer, and assisted and automated solutions for companies who need to survey customers and/or employees worldwide on a regular basis. Offers webinars, articles, and other resources on creating the invitation, the importance of regular surveys, and using online technologies for surveys.

So whether you’re querying current clients and customers, a potential target market, vendors, or employees, these online surveys can provide valuable tools for smart business owners. You can set up and monitor your surveys or pay someone to do it for you, but online surveys are a great way for you to gain information. The results may surprise you, or send you in a new direction you hadn’t thought of. But one thing’s for sure; if you don’t ask your customers, clients, or employees, they probably won’t tell!

Adsense Heresy: Revealing The Lies You’re Fed Every Day And How You Could Be Eating Caviar Instead

Copyright 2006 Richard Adams

What I am about to reveal may be regarded by many as heresy. But
I will expose evidence to prove that the Adsense strategies of
2005 are dying fast - and reveal what will *really* be the
driving force in Adsense profits over the coming months and
years.

Today’s trend with most Adsense publishers is to exploit the
latest software and search engine trickery to draw free traffic.
They aim to build hundreds of “minisites” often using
auto-generator software to create thousands of pages at a time
whilst barely lifting a finger.

Due to the nature of the this process, these pages generally
consist of “scraped” (a polite word for “stolen”) content or
legitimately reproduced articles from article directories or
private label membership sites. Oh, and as many Adsense ad units
as humanly possible.

They argue that if you build just one of these poor quality,
cookie- cutter sites a day that brings in just $1 a day, by the
end of the year you’ll be earning over $10,000 a month. Whilst I
can’t fault their math, as we’ll see this method is ill thought
out and at best a short-term solution.

Without easy, free sources of traffic, you’re never going to
make much money with Adsense, and this is the first major
stumbling block of the minisite concept. By their very
definition these auto-generated sites use junk content. You
couldn’t physically create a high quality site filled with
useful, original information in a day.

And the search engines are getting more and more trigger-happy
when it comes to deleting duplicate and/or poor quality content.

Google’s own advice (found at
http://www.google.com/intl/en/webmasters/guidelines.html) states:

- Don’t create multiple… domains with substantially duplicate
content. - Create a useful, information-rich site.

And where Google leads, others follow.

Even if in the short term you manage to avoid the search engine
spam- filters you’re not going to have a lot of luck with the
directories.

Just a few guidelines from DMOZ
(http://www.dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html):

- A site should not mirror content available at other sites. -
Sites… whose sole purpose is to drive traffic to another site
for the purpose of commission sales provide no unique content
and are not appropriate for inclusion - If the… content is
poor, minimal, or copied from some other site, then the site is
not a good candidate.

And Yahoo’s (help.yahoo.com/help/us/submit/submit-18.html)
minimum requirements include:

- Site contains substantively unique content.

So it would be fair to say that the days of generating free
traffic to minisites from search engines and directories are
limited at best.

But what about other forms of free traffic such as links from
other websites, word of mouth and repeat visitors?

Certainly there’s a chance when a visitor arrives at an auto-
generated site for the first time that they’ll click an Adsense
ad and make you a few cents, but unless you provide a real,
useful site with plenty of content they’re unlikely to return
ever again.

Why should they? What does the site offer that nobody elses
does? Answer: nothing.

And let’s be honest here - would you recommend a site to others
that simply contained page after page of automatically generated
garbage? I know I sure wouldn’t. And so it follows that very few
webmasters worth their salt will consider linking to these
websites.

Without these links from other sites you’re missing out on more
free traffic. They’re also one of the biggest factors in how
sites are ranked in the search engines, so even if you can get
listed in the short term, decent listings for anything but the
least competitive keywords are going to be almost impossible.

Lets not forget that whilst there are still keywords out there
that have no listings and so you should easily gain number one
listings, these are severely limited and provide minimal
traffic. Whats more, as competition increases these minisites
will soon be pushed out by other, better designed sites (with
more links and original content).

But if that weren’t enough to suggest that the Adsense minisite
strategy is stacking the odds against you, lets consider a
second vital factor: leverage.

Increasingly search engines and directories are charging for
listings. If you create thousands of sites and want to market
them effectively you’ll have to pay these listing fees thousands
of times which soon adds up to some serious change.

Or about about domain names for your sites? Sure they can be
bought for under 10 bucks each, but if you build a website a day
you’ll spend over $3000 on domains in your first year.

Another leverage technique is having visitors sign up for a free
newsletter. You can email them informative articles each month
and gently lead them back to your sites. A good quality
newsletter leads to repeat visits so one visitor can earn you
commissions numerous times.

Unfortunately it takes several days to put together a decent
newsletter issue and if you’ve got dozens (or hundreds) of
minites it’s simply not going to be possible to do it for each
one. No leverage.

And so it goes on.

The moral of the story is simple. The old ways of building an
Adsense empire which are still being used by the majority of
marketers out there simply won’t work in the long term.

What I am proposing is a complete about-face - the creation of a
small number of large sites, filled with original quality
content, that is genuinely useful to visitors, and as a result
generates numerous links to help in search engine placement.

It’s this simple model that I believe, provides the best
long-term and highly leveraged Adsense vehicle available.

Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate Marketing is one of the hottest subjects on the
Internet today. Some people think that it is hard to make money
this way, others say it is very easy. My opinion is that there
is money to be made in almost any kind of industry. You must
just find a way to simplify your work and profit more from your
efforts. So, the point is to use leverage, lots and lots of
leverage. Bellow I will briefly explain how to do all of this.

For those who don’t know, affiliate marketing is the kind of
business in which you sell other people’s products and/or
services in exchange for a fraction of the profits. So, if you
are an affiliate you don’t have to create anything. You don’t
have to own products or services. All you do is to advertise.

You may think that advertising is expensive. I affirm that it
could be, if you choose to pay for it. In the other hand, if you
choose to advertise for free and you know how to do it, it won’t
cost you a red cent. There are many marketing techniques out
there that you can implement in your business life which will
help you boast your exposure and increase your profits.

Then, how much money can you make? You can make a lot of money.
The good thing about it is that you don’t have to deal with
anybody as an affiliate. The owners of the products do all the
customer service, deal with the refunds and process the
payments. As I said above, all you do is to advertise. So, you
are making piles of cash from products and services that you
didn’t create and that you don’t own.

You may ask, yes but exactly how much can I earn? Some affiliate
programs pay as little as just 10% of the sales price. Others
pay as much as 75%. Then, imagine that you join this affiliate
program which is paying you 50% for every sale you generate. If
you are selling a product that is retailing for $50, then you
will make $25 per sale. If you sell one hundred products in one
month, you will make $2,500/month.

Now, you may be thinking . . . Yeah right! I don’t like to sell
anything. I am not a marketer. This is not for me. Let me tell
you that you are not the one who will be directly selling. The
point is as I mentioned above, to use a lot of leverage. How
does this work? What is leverage? Leverage is literally any
system, tool or process that helps you magnify your efforts.

I explain in my book Easy Web Riches, how you can use many
different techniques that allow you to profit from this business
easily. Basically the point is that the Internet will take care
of most of the work involved. I cover a wide variety of
strategies you can use to expand your knowledge and increase
your profits. By following simple rules you will see how much
money you can make.

In my opinion, those who think that making money as an affiliate
is hard, think so because they haven’t tried it yet or because
they lack the knowledge necessary to succeed in this business.
Once you know how to do it and how to benefit from leverage, it
becomes very simple.

This is one of the easiest and fastest ways you can start
earning substantial income from home. Think about it. You won’t
only earn automatic income, but also residual income. I mean, on
this business like many others home based online businesses, you
make an effort once and you profit thousands of times.

What attracts most people to affiliate marketing is that it goes
to the next level of financial freedom, in which you don’t only
profit from products that you didn’t even create, but you don’t
have to deal with the clients either!

The Truth About Receiving Free Electrical Items

You’ve seen the pop-up ads, junk emails and flashy banners all
advertising the free Ipod, free digital camera, or free laptop,
right!?! That’s when you probably think “not another scam -
nothing is free!”   Well today I’ll show you different and tell
you how it is possible too!   You see, many free incentive
programs do actually work. The terms and conditions are the key
factors - but who really wants to read all of that legal
jargon!?!

Well now you don’t have to!   I have studied and worked with the
fine print for loads of these free gift incentive programs, and
have even managed to earn a good living doing so! That’s right.
I regularly receive free gifts from these programs, including a
Sony Vaio Laptop, portable phones, an Apple iPod, and many
others. You can view pictures of these items at
http://www.smart-earnings.com.   Since I have already obtained
knowledge of these free gift incentive programs, I know what to
expect, and how to avoid any hassles. I’ve written this article
to show YOU how it works.   So are these programs legit?
Surprisingly - YES! Most of them are anyway. If you’re sure to
complete the requirements for the free gift incentive program
(and within the time period allowed) then you will receive a
free gift!   How can these companies afford to just give items
away?   Well, one of the main free gift methods work by driving
prospective customers to “sponsor companies”. They then pay the
incentive program for each lead sent. This money is then used to
buy and ship your free gift, as well as making a profit for the
incentive program. That’s right, every time a free gift is sent
out to you, they are actually making money!

This is only one of the many methods of how this works!
Example:

Imagine a free gift incentive program offering a $200 digital
camera. In order to receive this gift, you are required to
complete 5 sponsor offers. If the guys running the incentive
program receive $50 for each lead, then they have 5 * $50 = $250
for your gift, and also make $50 in profit!   So how can you do
this?   The good news is that receiving your free gift should
only take a few hours of your time per month, depending on the
program and method you choose to receive your free gift. It’s
also best to complete all of the requirements for the free gift
at once. Don’t start one of these programs if you will not have
time to spend on it - you only have one shot at each incentive
program!   PLEASE NOTE

Complete all offers as quickly as possible in case there is a
time limit. Some companies will give you up to 90 days from the
time you complete the offers to claim your free gift. Others may
only give you 90 days from the time you register. Quick scan the
Terms to know for definite.   It is important to keep some
simple documentation of what you are doing. Write down pieces of
information that you send or receive along with the dates,
including the date that you registered, as well as the websites
and cancellation information for each of the offers you
complete.   Most offers will probably involve some sort of
subscription with a free trial period, after which you will be
billed automatically. You can cancel these before the trial
period ends. Set schedule alarms, place reminder sticky notes
around your house, whatever it takes, but remember that you can
cancel at any time.   You will definitely have to spend some
time filling out forms and making phone calls, but the free
gifts will always outweigh the cost to you! For more information
you can visit http://www.smart-earnings.com.   The main thing is
that these incentive programs DO work if you know how to
complete them correctly. Hopefully these tips will be helpful
for you in your next free gift incentive program.

Thank for reading - now go get your free items!

International Trade Sites

If you have an online web site or sell on Ebay, you know that it
can be difficult to find the right items to sell and even harder
to find those items at the right price. Well here is a service
that can make those difficulties go away. International Trade
sites are the answer to finding some of the best items at the
lowest prices.

International trade sites connect you the buyer with
manufacturers from all over the world. Many manufacturers are
trying to contact sellers here in the United States to buy their
products. Many sellers use these international trade sites. One
of the most common trade site is called Alibaba.com. It connects
buyers and sellers from all over the world. There are hundreds
of thousands of items being sold on their web site everyday.

The internet has made it so easy to do business across the
globe. Many big sellers on the internet get their product from
overseas manufacturers for pennies on the dollar that you pay
for them. There are huge profits to be made if you can find the
right product at the right price. With online payment and
shipment tracking options, it has become much easier to send
money and get details about your shipments so you don’t have to
worry about lost goods. If you’re looking for a great way to
increase your profits, take a look at international trading
sites.

Adding Profit to Your Work from Home Internet Business

Many individuals, from all walks of life, are making the decision to work from home. There are an unlimited number of work at home business ideas; however, the internet has the most potential.

Internet websites are often developed for personal or business use. What once may have been considered a personal site may now even be used to make money. Affiliate programs, commonly referred to as associate programs, are a way for website owners to make money through internet marketing. Affiliate programs work by connecting people to another website. There are a wide number of well known national companies who use affiliate programs to increase the traffic to their website.

Individuals who have their own website will generally display a banner or link to a certain website. The linking website is often a business that sells something. Affiliate programs are profitable to website owners because whenever an internet user signs up for something or buys a products, they are paid commission. Affiliate programs are an effective marketing technique that offer benefits to everyone involved. Website owners are paid for their participation and the businesses on the other end are promoting and selling their products.

Deciding to participate in an affiliate program is a fairly easy process and can sometimes involve little work. If you are a website owner, the more work you do on your website, the more likely you are to receive affiliate clickers. This is due to search engine optimizations. Many articles or topics inside a website contain keywords that search engines may pick up. If an individual is searching for information on popular children’s toys and your website has articles or information concerning them, they may be linked to your site. Internet users love to see new articles, information, or products. For this reason, constantly updating your website may bring in new visitors and also keep existing visitors coming back.
