Podsafe Music: Review - GarageBand.com: How to Find Thousands of Songs for Podcasting

What can happen if you don’t play podsafe music on your podcast? That’s one riddle facing podcasters who want to play music: the cost of licensing.

Or, short of that, the fear that if you DON’T have proper licensing in place you’ll get snared by the RIAA or the Music Police or some such Big Brother entity and you’ll spend the rest of your life in jail or paying huge fines.

Hmm. Not fun! So I was elated when GarageBand.com came along offering thousands of podsafe songs for free!

In fact, the fun folks at GarageBand.com market themselves as a place for podsafe music - some 40,000 tunes.

If you are a member of a band, you can join GarageBand.com and upload your own songs. There are a couple of ways: either review 30 songs and upload for free, or pay a reasonable fee of about $20 to upload songs, which will then get reviewed by other GarageBand.com members.

As a podcaster, though, this is where the concept really works. You can pick a genre (acoustic, alternative, rock, world, etc.) and download to your heart’s content. Each band that uploads music under one of three arrangements: either they give it away to anyone for podcasting under any circumstance, or they offer it available once you contact them and ask for permission, or they offer it as streaming audio only. Whatever way, you get podsafe music for your podcast - and lots of it.

And of course the band gets free publicity, and GarageBand.com also gets a boost because you’ll undoubtedly want to mention them on your podcast.

I won’t go into all the great benefits that musicians and working bands get out of GarageBand.com, but if you are in a band and haven’t heard of this website, you’ll want to check it our post-haste.

I’ve been looking to spice up my show with some music for awhile, and other than playing my OWN music, this looks to be a great source of podsafe music.

The chairman of GarageBand.com’s Advisory Board is Sir George Martin, the man who signed The Beatles and produced all of their records (except for the Phil-Spector produced ‘Let It Be’). Jerry Harrison, ex-Talking Head and professional producer, is a co-founders.

Take a listen to GarageBand.com and no doubt you’ll find some great ‘podsafe’ music for your podcast.

Deciding on the Greatest Fast Broadband Deal

When clients can be found viewing the high speed internet access landscape internet users will feel dazed. The fast internet access market is saturated with high speed internet access providers supplying so many packages with very fast internet speeds and download limitations.

Clients can often wish to look up every internet provider directly to learn what packages the company give, download speeds the business supply and their conditions and terms. If you wish to absorb this info in 1 place internet users may want to view a high speed broadband comparison site. Click here to see all the Orange broadband deals in your area.

If potential customers already have a fast internet provider and desire to try a better corporation then nothing should stop you from moving, especially if a saving is to be made. Comparison websites might often be able to take potential customers through the process and what steps may be taken.

When surfers are seeking for the most appropriate offer price may not be the only clincher. Numerous internet providers will show a truly low entry deal to tempt potential customers over to them. When high speed broadband packages are incredibly low in price please make sure you learn what internet speed the broadband firm will provide, what download allocation you yourself will be provided with and also the terms and conditions of the internet contract. The download limits is vital as tons of businesses will often charge browsers per Gigabyte that you go over, so if your broadband package has an eight GB download limits and internet users download ten romantic movies that month, you are more than likely to have downloaded 10 Gigabytes (i.e. 1GB per movie) - which is 2GB’s well over your download limit, and which is two Gigabytes worth of downloads the corporation might often charge over and above your monthly broadband package charge.

When checking out the most appropriate offer please do not forget to check whether or not the supplier will charge a sign up fee and if there are any costs associated with being offered a wireless broadband router. The aforementioned extra charges can all mount up and potential customers could be left with little savings when compared to other packages.

Thankfully, internet provider comparison sites might mention any additional charges and browsers can make a clever and advised decision.

Alternative Energies; Coating Needed to Help Create Static Electricity

We need to design a coating to help us create static electricity which will adhere to Carbon Nano-Tube materials so that in the future we can use this static electricity to run systems in buildings, ships, aircraft, vehicles, trains, over passes and well just about anything. How so you ask? Well let us consider that when the wind; either relative wind airflows caused from a moving object or just normal airflows across a surface of an object which is stationary; it creates static electricity as electrons are traded with that surface. Well why not collect this energy and use it? Use it for what you ask?

Well let’s take a Highway over pass, Freeway wall or even a roadway; we can take the airflows across these surfaces to power up low wattage LED lights to improve road safety. In the case of a roadway line, we can coat it with a Carbon Nano-Tube coating and the rest of the side of the road, which is not driven on with a coating to collect it. Then the energy is transferred to the road line to light it up at night? This will help in road safety and with self-driving cars so their sensors can tell where the road ends so that the car will stay on the actual road you see?

For ships there is a lot of hull surface both under the water and above the water line to collect energy to help with discharging scum sticking to the hull, powering up ship lighting or even lighting up navigation or anti-collision stripes or lights. For aircraft the static electricity could be used to help in the energy needed to morph the wings to custom tailor the airspeed with the shape of the wing for maximum efficiency you see? Well, you get the idea; we need to develop this coating as soon as possible as the applications are completely endless indeed. Consider all this in 2006.

Franchise Opportunities orStarting Alone

Filed under:Management & More, Money Making, Helpful Information — posted on August 26, 2008 @ 3:42 pm

If you have decided to take the plunge into running your own business your will be faced with several options. You can buy a franchise or start your own business from the ground up. Both have benefits and downfalls.

The world is rife with franchise opportunities. Many companies you use are probably franchises, from restaurants to cleaning services. A key benefit in buying into a franchise is that you essentially get a readymade business. A franchise basically gives you everything you need with a well recognized name to draw in customers. There are many different franchises available. Some will give you the business name, equipment and everything you need for start up, others only give you the basics and you still have to buy or lease a location, purchase equipment and the inventory you will need.

Some key drawbacks of buying a franchise however are that you are not free to change much of your business model, and the cost is often restrictive. Visit the Key Mergers website for more information or if you would like to f you would like to buy a business or even to sell one.

Building your very own company from the bottom up however means that you can grow the business organically over time, you can limit your initial outlay and you can be as creative with the direction of your business as you like. Depending on how novel your new enterprise is, it is possible that your will have a steep testing curve and will have to make all of your own connections.

So, as you have probably gathered by now, the rational for choosing whether to buy a franchise or go it alone are multi-dimensional There is no one size fits all advise.

The rest have some vision, from light perception alone to relatively good acuity. Further, using a screen reader is, according to some users, considerably more difficult than using a GUI and many applications have specific problems resulting from the nature of the application. This interpretation is then represented to the user with text-to-speech, sound icons, or a braille output. Experimental approaches in sensory substitution are beginning to provide access to arbitrary live views from a camera.

Screen reader choice is contentious: differing priorities and strong preferences are common. Approximately 25 percent of those deemed legally blind, by any measure, have no vision. While Apple Mac OS X includes VoiceOver, a more feature-rich screen reader. The primary audience for such applications is those who have difficulty reading because of learning disabilities or language barriers. The Macintosh OS also comes with a built-in screen reader, called VoiceOver. There are also open source screen readers, such as the Linux Screen Reader for GNOME and NonVisual Desktop Access for Windows.

The console-based Oralux Linux distribution ships with three screen-reading environments: Emacspeak, Yasr and Speakup.

Therefore functionality remains limited compared to equivalent desktop applications, the major benefit is to increase the accessibility of said websites. A persons choice of screen reader is dictated by many factors, including platform and the role of organizations like charities, schools, and employers.

Access technology such as screen readers and Screen magnifiers enable the blind to use mainstream computer applications. Screen readers can be assumed to be able to access all display content that is not intrinsically inaccessible.

Recent versions of Microsoft Windows come with the rather basic Narrator. Linux distributions for the blind include Oralux and Adriane Knoppix. Only a small fraction of this population, when compared to the sighted community, have Internet access.

The latter developed in part by Knopper who has a visual impairment. Comming season Anthony Loeff medical volunteer is testing screen readers for people suffering from blindness The movement towards greater web accessibility is opening a far wider number of websites to adaptive technology, making the web a more inviting place for visually impaired surfers. Web browsers, word processors, icons and windows and email programs are just some of the applications used successfully by screen reader users. The open source GNOME desktop environment long included Gnopernicus and now includes Orca. Screen readers are a form of assistive technology potentially useful to people who are blind, visually impaired, or learning disabled, often in combination with other AT such as screen magnifiers. Later versions of Microsoft Windows include an Accessibility Wizard and Magnifier for those with partial vision, and Microsoft Narrator, a simple screen reader. Increasingly, screen readers are being bundled with operating system distributions. A screen reader is a software application that attempts to identify and interpret what is being displayed on the screen. Most legally blind people 55 percent do not use computers.

The Truth About Internet Access Providers

There are dozens of internet access providers out there today. Many of these internet access providers have different means of accessing the internet. All internet access providers have varying rates as well. If you are not knowledgeable about the differences in internet access providers, then let this be your guide to the truth about internet access providers.

First you need to know the different ways internet access providers use for you to connect to the
internet. This can be through dial up modems, DSL, and broadband or cable modems. Dial up is the
slowest form of internet access. It uses a modem that connects to your phone line. This means
you need a dedicated phone line just for your computer in order to use this type of internet access.
DSL is faster than dial up. DSL uses your existing phone line to create a three channel data
delivery system in order for you to access the internet. Broadband is the fastest way to connect to
the internet. Broadband uses a high speed cable modem and fiber optic cable network. You do not
need a phone line for this type of internet access.

Different internet access providers have different means for accessing the internet. America
Online, People PC, and Earthlink all utilize dial up for internet access. Qwest and Verizon are both
internet access providers that use DSL for internet access. The most sought after internet access
providers are those of which utilize the broadband technology or cable technology. The main
company that provides this is Comcast. Comcast only uses broadband for its internet access.

When choosing between internet access providers, be sure to decide how much you want to spend.
Dial up is the cheapest of the internet access providers; however it is the slowest method of
internet access. Broadband is the most expensive method for using the internet, but it is the fastest
way to access the internet and it is rarely interrupted (which can happen with dial up and DSL
internet services).

Your internet access provider should give you unlimited internet access, free email accounts, and
free technical support. If the internet access providers do not give you this, then you should
definitely choose a different internet access provider. Also, keep in mind that many internet
access providers have specials and discounts available to new subscribers to their service.

This is all of the necessary information you need to know when choosing your internet access
provider. Shop around and some research to see which company suits your needs, as well as which
company offers you the best rates. With some patience, you should be able to find the right internet
access provider for you.

A Woman’s Guide to Waxing Unwanted Hair

It’s tough to be beautiful. There’s the curling, the scrubbing, the coloring, the endless work, toil and sweat. It can also be painful. What woman hasn’t suffered from a too-hot curling iron or too-sharp razor? But at the top of the list we find waxing. An essential task, to be sure, but also dicey. You want to make sure it’s done right, quickly and will be effective with a minimum of pain.

Waxing is a relatively simply process, really. Think “wax on, wax off”, and you’ll likely get the idea. Hot wax is applied to the area that needs hair removal, then quickly pulled off and unwanted hairs go with the wax. It can be fairly painful, but the pain is quick and the wax process, fortunately, doesn’t need to be repeated very often.

Herewith are various types of waxes, from a lesser “ouch” factor to a mighty “ouch”!

*Eyebrow (ouch factor of 2) - Eyebrow waxing is a type of waxing you can do yourself at home, though it’s never a bad idea to consult a professional. If you are going to wax your eyebrows yourself, you should always wax from below the eyebrow, not above. Take very little hair off at a time, and be careful of the hot wax being so close to your face. Because the skin above the eye is so sensitive, it’s really recommended you consult a professional for this task.

*Full Face (ouch factor 2) - This involves removing the facial hair you might have around the mouth, cheeks, jaw and chin. You can do this yourself, perhaps even make the wax yourself, but again, experts recommend using a professional since the facial skin is so delicate.

*Legs (ouch factor 3-4) - This is probably the method of waxing most women are familiar with. In the summer, many women choose leg waxing as the preferred method for hair removal since it is generally considered superior to shaving and saves time in those busy summer months - a good leg wax can last as long as 8 weeks.

*Bikini (ouch factor 8-10+) - The big daddy of waxing, the various types of bikini waxes are not for the faint of heart. They are for women who want clean, cool nether regions for summer, and aren’t too modest, since they should only be done by a trained and experienced professional. There are a few different types:

*Bikini - The basic bikini wax involves removing the pubic hair around the bikini panty line. This is delicate territory, so it’s recommended you take an ibuprofen an hour or so before getting it done. But since there are more involved bikini waxes, we’ll give this one an 8 on the pain scale.

*Full bikini - This is also known as a Brazilian bikini wax and it’s the latest, hottest thing in waxes. Seven Brazilian sisters brought this wax to the United States and in a short period of time, this type of wax has overtaken any other bikini wax. In short, it’s a full bikini wax, where only the pubic hair just around the labia is left. Otherwise, you’re bald as an eagle, which might serve you if you wear a thong in the summer or just want to change your life, which is allegedly what Brazilian wax did for Gwyneth Paltrow. This is a full 10 on the pain scale, but many women claim it’s the bomb.

When Panasonic first began building a brand new leading range of TVs somewhere in about the year two-thousand, their aim was:

(+) To advance the spectators experience by building a sleek, fashionable, but entirely unobtrusive TV that wouldn’t divert the spectator from any of what’s happening on-screen.

(+) To make using the TV as easy as possible while furthermore making the best use of its networking potential.

Website that is! It’s an old debate now, but I wanna add my 5 sense worth!

It is possible to make money through promoting affiliate programs, but you can make buckets more promoting your own products!

Apart from being able to use your own website as a portal for a variety of affiliate programs, it’s also possible to promote your own products or services.

Another advantage of having your own website is that you can use your emailing list to continually drive traffic back to your site for repeat sales (back end sales) that’s were the real profits are.

In addition to that with your own site is you can tailor make it to suit specific niche markets and create your own professional and personal identity.

The only limit on what can be achieved with your own website is your imagination. An online shop can easily be added to a site that operates 24/7 making money even while you sleep. It can be used as a business card demonstrating your products and services.

I know there are many people out there that feel it isn’t necessary to own your own site, maybe that’s true but for a long term secure financial income I personally will stick to having my own site. Properly set up, a website can be your personal 24hr service staff, for free! It can greet customers, provide information, make bookings and take orders, give solutions to customer problems instantly, and much, much, more!

As you’ll see from the signature below I’m studying internet business, I look forward to learning more and posting more articles as my experience grows.

I sincerely wish you good luck and happiness

Large Players Bring High Performance Laptops to Everyone

Not so long a go it seemed like gaming notebooks were only obtainable from certain retailers and they were traditionally custom made. They were simply like a small volume manufacturing line. Did not sell many but made a lot of profit on each one. They were the kind of notebook that everybody desired, however the price didn’t come in their budget. Basically they were the best laptops available to buy. Despite the fact that was true I guess the prices were so costly that we would buy laptop computers that were not as fast instead. The main brands have lately set about taking advantage of giant opportunities in gaming notebooks, so that is all changing.

They are aware there is revenue to be earned here. They can dominate the niche. Markup has been so narrow lately that this is a fantastic opportunity to make more cash by retailing hardware. In addition they are aware they can sway prospects to buy laptops like these more easily than small resellers. This is a giant threat to smaller boutique retailers. Now laptops for gaming will no longer be considered a niche market. Local system builders cannot actually leverage a brand name as the bigger competitors can.

The notebook computers being introduced by brand name manufacturers are all vieing for the best laptop status. I think that local companies may yet have a chance. The customizations feature is a big bonus to the potential buyer. Being educated in the technology, these sort of people are very clued up on what details to compare. In my opinion I reckon consumers care more about the performance instead of styling. This is all excellent from the consumers way of seeing things. Fresh technology will be purchasable by the masses when prices are driven lower. I write that with a large dose of doubt however. I think technology is becoming more better however the latest laptops should always remain over priced. The bigger brands have already released their own gaming laptop range, so all we can do now is stand back and watch.
