Presenting Your Case

When you’re putting your sales pieces together, you can learn a
lot from lawyers.

Whether it’s a defense attorney or the prosecution, the first
thing a lawyer does is read the jury members.

He does his best to get inside their heads to determine exactly
what will get them to decide in his favor. The best lawyers are
great people readers.

You must learn what people’s hot buttons are just as any good
attorney does. Also like a good lawyer, you must realize your
audience reacts on an emotional level.

When you’re presenting your case you must grab them by their
emotions.

He also appeals to all their senses. So should your sales
letters.

If you’re selling food, your letter should literally make them
water at the mouth.

If you’re selling opportunity offers, the reader should be made
to see all the goodies their new found money will bring.

So how do the legal beagles accomplish this?

They study every bit of the evidence. You should study your
product or service as just as diligently.

Once they’ve gathered all the facts, they’re ready to present
their case.

Your headline should be as well thought out as their opening
words. You should get your customers’ attention as compellingly
as they capture their jury’s.

Once they’ve got a jury’s attention they begin banging out the
evidence. In the same manner you should be banging out your
offers benefits.

Bam … Bam … Bam!

Once they’ve grabbed the jury by their emotions and pounded out
every point to make their case, they give their closing
statement and ask the jury for the verdict they’ve made the case
for.

The same applies to your sales letter.

Grab their emotions, pound out your benefits and build your
case. Then you’re ready to ask them to pull out their wallets
and place their order.

Start presenting your case and the sales will come.

Basic Jacks or Better Video Poker Strategy

Video Poker is a game of skill - and using the simple combination of playing strategy and mathematical know-how, can be beat. Take note of the “pay schedule” shown on the front of each
machine, and look particularly at the most important information - how much the machine
will pay out for a Full-House versus a Flush.

An advanced video poker player will also realise that a “Jacks-or-Better” machine - classed as a 9/6 machine for paying out 9 coins : 1 for every Full House and 6 : 1 for every Flush, can be beaten using perfect Basic Video Poker Strategy.

Another machine offering the advanced video poker player an edge is the 10/6 Deuces Wild machine. These odds have been proven as
a result of computer modelling. For the other machines - even if a player plays the Perfect Video Poker Strategy game, he will still not win, though will have fun playing!

There are set rules defining Basic Video Poker Srategy whether playing online or in a casino - much like the Basic Strategy for Blackjack,

Jacks-or-Better Video Poker Strategy

  • In any hand holding a Jack, unless the hand is already a winner! - 4 to an open-ended Straight,
    4 to a Flush or 3 to a Straight
Flush or Royal Flush - reject all cards only keeping the Jack
  • In any hand holding only 1 card Jack or above, keep the single high card
and reject all other cards and redraw.
  • In any hand holding 1 pair lower than Jacks, keep the pair and reject all
other cards - unless the hand is 4 to a Straight or 4 to a Flush
  • In any hand holding a 2-pair, keep both pair and reject the odd-card.
  • In any hand holding 3-of-a-kind keep the 3-of-a-kind and reject the other
    2 cards.
  • In any hand holding 4 to a Straight, keep all 4 Straight cards and re-draw -
unless the Straight draw is NOT open-ended and the hand is holding a
    Jack)
  • In any hand holding 4 to a Flush, keep the 4 Flush - unless the hand holds 3 to the Royal in which case you would draw to the Royal
    Flush
  • In any hand holding 4-of-a-kind, hold everything since a 1-card
draw will not improve the cards.
  • In any hand holding 3 to a Royal Flush, reject everything else and
go for the Royal - unless the hand is already a Straight Flush!

Practice these strategies whist playing - perhaps even print this page out to
refer to the Basic Video Poker strategies until they become 2nd nature. Go on…get the skill and hit those machine!

Nokia, an International Coms Corporation: Impacting the Booming Fields of Wireless & Wired Telecommunications

Nokia is a worldwide communications corporation, focused on the sizable advancing fields of wireless and wired telecommunications. Nokia is, today, the earth’s largest maker of mobile telephones, with a total handset market share of more or less 38%. Nokia constructs cellular telephones for each and every sizable market segment and protocol. The business also constructs coms network apparatus for applications such as mobile and fixed-line voice telephony, ISDN, broadband access, VO IP and wireless LAN.

Nokia has an exceptionally large role in the economy of Finland. Nokia is indubitably the greatest Finnish company, comprising roughly 30 percent of the market capitalization of the Helsinki Stock; a singular circumstance in a first world country. It’s an important Finnish employer and some spinoff firms have mushroomed into large outfits as Nokia’s subcontractors.

Nokia enlarged Finland’s GDP in excess of one and a half % in 1999 alone. In 2004 Nokia’s segment of the Finland’s GDP was 3 ½ % and made up about one quarter of exports from Finland in 2003. In 2007, Nokia generated turn over that for the first time exceeded the state budget of Finland. This has led some to refer to Finland as “Nokialand.”

The people of Finland have ranked Nokia (lots of times) as the leading Finnish brand and employer. Nokia is known to be the fifth most valuable brand in the world in BusinessWeek’s Best Global Brands compendium of the 20 most popular companies world wide in Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies.

Nokia’s mobile phones division provides people with mobile voice and data products around a big range of mobile devices. This department undertakes to concentrate on primarily large volume category sales of phones and devices, with the general public being the most significant customer segment.

Nokia reckons that design, brand, ease of use and price are typical mobile phones’ most important contemplations for customers. Nokia’s product catalogue includes digital camera mobile phones with special features, for example, mega-pixel cameras and MP3 players that captivate the mass market.

In the first quarter of 2007 it unloaded over 15000000 MP3 capable mobile phones, which means it is not only the earth’s sizable manufacturer of mobiles and digi cameras (as the majority of Nokia’s cellular sets feature digital cameras, it is also believed that it has recently overtaken Kodak in camera production making it the largest in the world), it is nowadays also the sizable manufacturer of digital audio. It aims to sell 80000000 music phones by the end of 2007, outrunning sales of gadgets such as the iPod from Apple.

Breaking Through Uncertainty - Welcoming Advertisty

Filed under:New Age Infos — posted on @ 3:41 pm

We all question our ability at times. Uncertainty plagues us. It is even more intense if the ability we are questioning relates to something we have never tried or not succeeded at in the past.

Set backs are common, but we rarely welcome them. We are inclined to respond negatively to adversity. It may be time to revisit that reflexive response.

I had an experience recently that caused me to reconsider whether a negative response to adversity is always justified when I was confronted with a life-threatening situation.

It was mid-morning on a warm and pleasant Saturday. I was in the midst of my first skydive of the day. It was my 2,123th jump since having taken up the sport fifteen years ago.

After about one minute of freefall and 5,000 above the ground, I parted ways with my fellow jumpers to get far enough away from them to open my parachute safely. I initiated opening around 3,000 feet above the earth.

My parachute opened with some twists in the lines between the parachute and me. This is not that uncommon. What was different this time was that I was not able to clear the twists.

The twists in the lines caused my parachute to take on an asymmetrical shape. Receiving asymmetrical inputs, the canopy did what it is designed to do and initiated a turn — that’s how it’s steered. The problem occurred when the turn quickly became a rapid, diving downward spiral that was spinning me a full 360 degrees about once every second. This was a problem.

I looked up to assess my canopy and saw something I don’t often see - the horizon clearly visible ABOVE the trailing edge of my canopy. This meant my canopy and I were now on roughly the same horizontal plane. In that I could see the horizon behind it, I was actually above my parachute and it was leading our fast spinning parade rapidly towards mother earth.

My first need was to acknowledge that I was not going to be able to solve this problem. This is not as easy as it seems. Having successfully completed over 2,100 jumps without having to resort to my second parachute, it was hard for me to believe I had really encountered a problem I could not solve. I had a natural inclination to assume I could fix this problem as I had all those in the past.

Sound familiar? It’s always easy to lapse into denial when confronted with a problem. Until we acknowledge the problem and our possible inability to solve it - or to use the methods we have used in the past - we don’t have a chance of making things better.

Fortunately, the urgency of this situation caused my hard-headed nature to yield much quicker than usual. That decision probably took a second or two.

The next step, having accepted the need to follow a different course than in the past, was to determine the course. Fortunately fifteen years of training and practice before every day of jumping took hold.

I looked straight down at the two handles on either side of my chest - one to release me from my malfunctioning canopy and one for deploying my reserve parachute - and realized I needed to quickly get them in my hands. I could not help but notice when I made eye contact with them, as had been ingrained in me during my First Jump Course way back in 1988, that by now the rapid spins had turned me back to earth and there beyond my toes was once again the horizon. This was bad!

Time was of the essence at this point not only because I was now rapidly progressing toward the horse pasture below me, but also because the centrifugal force I was starting to experience would soon make it impossible to get my hands to those two handles.

With my hands now securely on the handles, I was confronted with a bothersome question, “Now, which one goes first.” The wrong order could cause my reserve parachute to deploy into my spinning main parachute which would result in an incurable entanglement.

Fortunately, ingrained training once again took over and I pulled them in the right order. First the handle on the right side which released me from my spinning main parachute followed by the handle on the left side to deploy my reserve parachute.

This brought on a wonderful experience. My malfunctioning black, teal and magenta canopy was replaced with a bright, yellow never before used reserve parachute. What a lovely sight! And all this by 1,700 feet - plenty of time to spare.

Many years ago, I read a book about the challenges and responsibilities of Secret Service agents. One of the sad aspects of that profession is that agents who never have the chance to validate their years of training by responding to a threat sometimes struggle severely in retirement. They are faced with not knowing - with certainty - how they would respond when faced with the paramount challenge their career can deliver. For this reason, agents who have faced such a challenge successfully are admired within the culture of the Service.

That Saturday morning, I had the privilege of facing a similar, life-threatening and I now realize life-defining challenge. I faced what Secret Service agents call “the dragon.”

For all of us the greater dragon is not the external threat, whether it be an assassin’s bullet, the unforgiving and fast approaching earth or another challenge. The real dragon is the self-doubt we carry within us.

For those few splendid moments after landing safely, I was able to put my foot firmly on the neck of the dragon … and it felt great.

Keep this in mind the next time you are confronted with adversity. On the far side of the experiences the adversity presents, there could be a valuble gift - a renewed confidence and certainty.

An Internet Marketing Mentor Can Help You Create Steady Income

Filed under:Great Marketing Tips — posted on @ 3:37 pm

A mentor does not buy, sell or negotiate. A mentor provides a service. In essence, mentoring is simply helping someone else play their cards right and become successful in internet marketing.

So defined, mentoring has been a business practice for a long time. Recent estimates indicate that many successful internet marketers have used a mentor as a standard business practice. Mentors choose to help others reach their goals for various reasons, the most common reason being to gain support and help for their own projects and from a true desire to assist others. After all, what good is knowledge and information if you don’t share it with someone who needs your help?

Many mentors help a peer or friend become a successful internet marketer in order to achieve personal satisfaction and develop friendships. Also, you’ve probably experienced a friend saying, “I helped you, and now I need help too…” Basically, being or having a mentor is an exchange of services and friendship.

One reason mentoring is popular, especially in the internet marketing industry, is that it provides free training that normally would be provided through special training classes which could cost a lot of money. Mentors willingly provide this service, as it is simply the bottom line method for a large number of internet marketers. In times of little or no cash flow, mentoring is a highly desirable commodity, and mentoring is becoming even more widespread. Mentoring offers a way to hold onto cash while continuing to get advice and training regarding internet marketing.

In addition to saving costs, mentoring can improve cash flow and liquidity by avoiding the high cost internet marketing seminars and online training courses. For anyone who is starting up a home business, this is vitally important. For the individual who is lucky enough to have a mentor, it makes it possible to save existing funds and apply them to advertising and web site development.

To successfully become a mentor, you must think in terms of a trainer, a financial guide, and a technical advisor if you want to help someone succeed in internet marketing. After all, that is the precise reason for mentoring - to bring together an individual with success. Your first task is to determine exactly what the individual hopes to accomplish. As a one-person training staff, you will need to know everything about the potential home business as well as get to know the personal hopes and dreams of your protégé. In effect, you are providing your expertise and/or time to help another person achieve their goals as an internet marketer.

Having a mentor to help you successfully start up your home business is a stroke of luck if you are on the receiving end. You explain your wants or needs to your mentor and he/she will provide you with suggestions based on their past experiences. You will be wise to listen to these suggestions, as they are mostly methods that have already been tried and proven to work. Your home business mentor can help you with advice on start-up costs, technical advice, and guide you through the process of establishing sales leads, getting the funding you need, and most likely provide you with the names of others who are specialized in their respective fields.

Why go it alone, making the same mistakes that have already been made by others? Let a mentor help you on the road profitable internet marketing by giving you the benefit of their experience and expertise.

How You Can Benefit From Viral Marketing

The concept behind viral marketing is that you give away
something for free and in turn, those who received your item
will then pass it around. This is called viral because once it
begins to spread; it spreads like a “virus.”

If, for example, you were to write an ebook containing valuable
information, you would then advertise your website or other
products (or even your affiliate programs) within your ebook.
Keep in mind that this ebook (or whatever you choose to give
away) must contain valuable information. A useless ebook will
not “spread like a virus.” You could even give away a course
that contains the same information as a course that sells for
$100. This would be valuable content that could easily go viral.

Another way to do this would be to write an ebook or an
instructional course that has links to affiliate sites. Then you
could allow your competitors to brand the book with their own
affiliate links. Your competitors could offer the item as a
download from their website. This would entice your competitors
to spread your freebie around because they could actually make
money from doing so. Within the branded ebook or course would
have information acknowledging you and driving traffic to your
site as well and eventually make a purchase from you. Another
benefit to this is that many times, working with your
competitors instead of against them can lead to profitable
partnerships. Many highly successful joint venture campaigns
started out exactly this way.

There have been countless online marketers become very
successful using the techniques behind viral marketing. Create
good, quality content to give away free of charge, then allow
your competitors to benefit from giving it away, and get ready
for the virus-like spreading of your item and the return of
traffic to your site and orders in the bank.

Volkswagen R32: Most Powerful and Drivers Most Wanted Car Will
Stand Out More with VW Aftermarket Parts from Partstrain

The sporty Volkswagen R32, which earned the “Drivers wanted” car
ever, features a powerfully 3.2-liter version of the famous VR6
engine. The VR6’s powerful output is due to its unique narrow
angle V design. All this volume fits under a single aluminum
alloy cylinder head. On the outside, the VW R32 comes with true
dual exhaust pipes, newly designed bumpers, front one acting as
a spoiler, large honeycomb ventilation grill in the lower front
apron, darkened taillights, rear spoiler, side skirts and model
specific badging on the front grille and left rear.

Its interior reveals high performance sport seats, alloy pedals,
leather shift knob, instrument cluster, three-spoke leather
steering wheel, doorsills and floor mats. Chrome surrounds the
instrumentation, with the pivot heads of the needles matching.
Alloy touches are used at nearly every visible or usable niche,
including the side footrest, center console trim, interior door
handles, doorsills, and even the handbrake button. The rear
seats fold flat and allow for a 60/40 split. Standard items
include automatic climate control (Climatronic™), heated front
seats and washer nozzles, premium CD stereo with eight speakers,
Monsoon® Sound System, power one-touch up and down windows,
power glass sunroof, heated electrically adjustable side
mirrors, antitheft alarm, radio remote control locking, cruise
control, trip computer, and rain sensor wipers.

The R32’s 4MOTION system is a key new feature that adds to its
ability to handle varying road conditions. It has Volkswagen’s
unique electronically controlled Haldex coupling in the rear
axle differential. 4MOTION uses hydraulic and electronics to
detect grip conditions, power train forces and then determine
whether power should go to the front or rear wheels.

4MOTION facilitates handling and acceleration in slippery
conditions to control the car’s power by helping manage wheel
traction and thereby reducing sudden steering jerks, even when
spurts of power are applied. Electronic Stabilization Program
(ESP) and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) overlay this sophisticated
system. Safety features include equipped with an advanced
side-impact safety system called Side Curtain Protection™, an
airbag supplemental restraint system to protect heads and upper
torsos from injury. Side Curtain Protection deploys a protective
curtain of air from the important A-pillar to C-pillar areas to
provide occupant protection on all side windows.

VW R32 also offers front and side airbag supplemental
restraints; front integrated head rests and three-point safety
belts in all seating positions, with front seatbelt
pre-tensioners and shoulder height adjustment; and the LATCH
(Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) system in the rear
outboard seating positions for installation of child seats. What
makes the Volkswagen R32 the most wanted car by drivers the
world over? The parts that make up every inch of the VWR32 are
one of the reasons.

Be a Storyteller, Not Just a Speaker

Filed under:House Of Self Improvement — posted on @ 11:36 am

Stories develop themes. The themes chosen to illustrate the possibility of stories are:

Relationships, Choice, Creativity, Making a Difference, Celebration.

Speakers are ordinarily people, from teachers to grandparents, from mountain climbers to cancer survivors. The platform provides them with a privilege and awesome responsibility to share their stories in a way that helps the audience to “wake up.” Good stories make people say, “Wait a minute. I can think or act differently about everything than I did before.” Stories are everywhere. Speakers learn to retrieve them and retell them to audiences as a way to show their humanness to show they care; to open people to possibility thinking and how making mistakes will lead to the courage to finally help them succeed. Because most of us delineate our thoughts visually, great stories help to enhance and even transform our lives.

Be unique. Think funny thoughts. Live and re-live your story when you are telling a story. Words are critical so be sure to pause when necessary and BE IN THE NOW. Your words need to create an image in the audience’s mind so that they can remember your story. They may be a step away from their own story. This will strengthen the connection between you and them.

It’s a good idea to use props to enhance your humor. Remember most people have an attention span of six to eight minutes.

Linking for Traffic not Positioning!

Filed under:World Of SEO — posted on @ 10:34 am

With more and more experts and search engine enthusiasts
claiming the right way and the wrong way to handle link
swapping, link exchanging or reciprocal linking!

You can tell something is important when there is more than
one name for it! GRIN!

There are also two schools of thought on the reasons link
swapping.

The first reason for link swapping has always been to carry
favour with Search engine rankings.  Have a good site with
lots of links and this is seen as a good thing and
therefore Search Engines will rank you higher.

Sadly, like all things in life, this system can be abused
and taken to the extreme.  Sites are buying in hundreds if
not thousands of links trying to “boost” their ranking
artificially.  This is fine in the short term but we are
starting to see a fundamental shift in Search Engine
algorhythms.

My last article of link swapping , If Content is King, then
surely relevance is Queen! explains my personal view of
relevant linking which is still follow.

There is now a second and perhaps more disturbing reason for
swapping links.

To build a useful link resource or directory for your
visitors.

With working with similar themed sites, swap links to build
a directory service which can share and drive traffic to
sites within it. Some have even claimed this can drive more
traffic that a Search engine ranking.

So how do I create this vision of loveliness.

Simple, build an on topic directory of your major site
content.

There are a couple of great tools you can use to automate
this process.

http://www.j2-squared.com/linking-101.htm

http://www.j2-squared.com/power-linking.htm

These tools will add new sections, manage your directory
structure, and allow you to add links or even allow others
to add their own links which you just approve.

This can all be run from a web browser so you can be
swapping links sat on the beach or in fact from anywhere.

They are so simple to use you could get family to help out
too! GRIN!

In terms of places to find links try:

www.linkpartners.com

as a good start point.

Remember, Search Engines change their algorhythms all the
time and you could fall out of favour at any time.

Your visitors are also getting more sophisticated and
demanding at the same time.  Give the visitor what they want
first and let the search engine sort the rest out!

Good Luck!

The Effects of SSRI’s and Relationships

Relationships are based on trust, nurturance, honesty, attraction, devotion, and of course, in most instances, sex. What happens if the sex is interrupted by a medical condition that prevents the ability to be sexually functional? There are many medical conditions that cause a lack of sexual interest and/or ability. Heart disease, diabetes, psychiatric illness, and others are just a few of the medical conditions that may interrupt what would normally be a healthy functioning sexual experience. Medication is provided to treat and prevent the course of an illness from worsening, or to maintain a level of functioning. What happens when the medication causes a profound change in one’s behavior and thought processes so as to render them impotent, developing a virtually non-existent libido?

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, (SSRI’s), do just that. As psychotropic medications used in the treatment of anxiety and depression they are often used as the first line of defense because of their ability to provide excellent results with fewer side effects. Working on the neurotransmitters in the brain, the SSRI’s have been implicated by treatment providers of patients with major depressive and anxiety disorders in causing the problem of sexual dysfunction. Sexual dysfunction also creates other relationship issues: lack of intimacy, loneliness, stress, low self-esteem and more. The patient on the SSRI begins to enjoy life again without the depression or anxiety that plagued them. Their partner, on the other hand, begins to feel the side-effects of the SSRI. The literature shows that SSRI’s are effective and millions of patients who take SSRI’s wouldn’t have it any other way. However, even in the strongest of marriages and partnerships, when there is a strong commitment to the health and well-being between the partners, the curse of the SSRI is powerful. The relationship becomes a one-sided affair where there seems to be little room for change. The patient becomes comfortable with their lack of symptoms and their improved outlook and lifestyle changes. Their partners also appreciate the profound changes, but the sexual intimacy that is lacking is hard to ignore. The SSRI flattens the libido of the patient, not the partner. This is where the problem lies.

So what are couples to do? I struggle with this question as so many of my patients come to me with this particular issue. We talk about intimacy and the varied ways that a couple can be intimate. Touching, sharing thoughts, planning together, and talking about the reality of the situation are all ways of striking back. Weighing the symptoms of depression and anxiety against the new symptom of sexual dysfunction is important. This is not simple. This is a struggle for relationship-survival. Many couples break up because of the inability of the partners to connect on non-sexual or altered- sexual terms. Many couples don’t even know that the medication has caused the problem, believing instead that that the relationship is deteriorating without the understanding of what is happening.

First speak with your doctor. Be candid and let your physician know that you or your partner is experiencing sexual dysfunction. Most doctors will be sympathetic because they have heard this complaint before. When possible, adjusting the medication is a corrective action. Learning how to listen to your partner’s needs is also vitally important. The relationship survived a lot more than this issue up until now. Remember the positive qualities of the relationship before the medication and build on them. Couples need to see their strengths and reach beyond the sexual limitations. In the case of SSRI’s the treatment does become the problem, but it is not insurmountable. Patience, caring, openness, and willingness are the keys to recovering the libido. Awareness that there is a problem and knowing the causes helps the couple make adjustments that become satisfying to both. SSRI’s can be used more effectively to control the symptoms of anxiety and depression when coupled with patient and partner education. It is up to the treatment provider to provide this education to the patient and their partner so that they understand the probability of a restricted libido allowing them to be sexually proactive. There is hope in this area of treatment and recovery.
