Bodybuilding Nutrition and Balance

Many inexperienced (sometimes even experienced!) gym regulars believe that muscles grow while lifting weights. However lifting weights forms only a small fraction of the muscle building process. Muscle development takes place at night during deep sleep when the body synthesizes new cells with nutrients from our diet. Therefore nutrition forms a very important part of a bodybuilding program.

The body utilizes nutrients in food to perform daily metabolic and what’s commonly referred to as the “wear and tear processes”. With bodybuilding, additional strain is put on the body to make new muscle tissues. Therefore the nutrient requirements also shoots up to stay with the demand.

The best bodybuilding nutrition comes from a balanced intake of carbohydrates, adequate protein, vitamins, minerals, fats and large amounts of water. So if you are serious about getting lean and ripped it’s time to say goodbye to mayo burgers, colas and other synthetic foods. Adopt eating habits imbibing fruits, whole grains, milk, eggs and fresh farm products.

How much protein do you need?

Your growing muscles need amino acids to create new tissues. The amino acids are provided by protein in diet. There is a lot of debate on the exact quantity of protein required in bodybuilding. The caution to maintain is that extreme amounts of protein in the diet can cause gastric and renal complications. Recent studies have suggested that a protein intake of 1 to 1.4 grams per unit of body weight is adequate to sustain the bodybuilding process. This means that the protein requirement of a 70 kg individual should be around 70 to 98 grams. To give an estimate of the amount involved consider the following: A 100 gm chicken breast has 22 grams of protein, a glass of milk has 8 grams,an egg approximately 5 grams and a slice bread 3 grams.

A word of caution against the tide of bodybuilding supplements in markets. Many times you come across advertisements proclaiming, ‘Gain 20 pounds of muscle in 3 months flat!’. Stay clear of these money hungry advertisers. Building lean muscle takes time and effort. Making use of synthetic products which alter body’s natural mechanism would offset what should be your real purpose in bodybuilding which is to keep the body fit and healthy.

Lastly in bodybuilding it’s not, ‘the more the better’. Rather it is ‘the more precise the better’. Don’t over exert, eat balanced food and include plenty of rest. With everything good in life, patience, commitment, and balance will guarantee your success. With these tips in mind you are all set to pump iron!

Break An Egg For Creativity

Filed under:House Of Self Improvement — posted on @ 10:54 am

In 1420, the dignitaries of Florence held a competition.

They offered the enormous prize of 200 gold florins to the architect whose genius could span the unfinished dome of the Florence Cathedral.

This was a great challenge. Even the original builders of the cathedral in 1296 left writings hoping that God would offer a solution because they did not have one.

Filippo Brunelleschi was the answer to their prayers.

He proposed the radical idea of a dome supported by a brick vaulting system that balanced the opposing forces, but without the customary central supports.

The experts called him mad.

Brunelleschi sought to demonstrate his design with a challenge.

He could stand an egg upright on a flat surface. Could they?

All were unsuccessful.

Finally, Brunelleschi cracked the bottom of the egg and set it down.

It must have been a mess, but it stood upright and demonstrated his idea.

The experts protested, but Brunelleschi remarked that they could have done the same if they had understood his design.

Of course, they did not. They didn’t understand creativity either.

They were too mentally confined by their concept of the possible. Figuratively and literally, the thought of solving the problem by breaking the egg never occurred to them.

One imagines their frustration trying to balance the round egg on the marble tabletop and their groans when Brunelleschi demonstrated the sloppy, but clever solution.

We all have eggs we never think of breaking.

These are the fixed states of mind that we accept without question as “the way things are.” These states represent the boundaries of our thinking and, therefore, our life experience.

Refuse to be confined by the eggs others never think of breaking.

Geniuses break eggs.

Break your share.

That’s why they make paper towels.

Discover How To Rank No. 1 on Yahoo And Google Without Spend

Yes friends I finally made it!

Go to Yahoo.com or Google.com and type `viral ebooks`
in the search box. Out of 5940 results my site
www.snzeport.com is at No.1, Similarly,

- For `customizable viral ebooks` it is no. 1;

- For `customizable ebooks with resell rights` it
is No.2;

- For `free customizable ebooks` it is No. 4 on Yahoo;

- For `customizable ebooks` one of my articles published
on another site comes in No.5, my own site is at No. 11;

- And for the very popular search term `resell rights`
out of 99400 results, my site is at No.279 on Yahoo (I
have noticed traffic coming even from my 279 position!)

Though the full impact is yet to be seen. It happened
without spending a single dime- in fact without any
conscious plan on my part. The power of the
sub-conscious perhaps?

For your benefit I am revealing the exact steps I took
and you can to. Just keep in mind this is not a magic
potion. Don’t look for overnight results:

1. Your Keywords – You may re-read my articles on
keywords available at:
http://www.snzeport.com/articles.htm
though the bare essentials are:

- Select descriptive keywords for example I went for
`viral ebooks` instead of just ebooks;

- Use your main keyword as your page title – ie the
name with which you save your page on your html
editor – if you are using MS Front Page, or insert
the title in your meta tags;

- Use your main keywords in your headings;

- Write a descriptive text using a sensible sprinkling
of your keywords.

2. To submit my site to all the major search engines,
I use the world submitter facility. This not only
includes a free submission to Yahoo and Google but a
whole lot more. Here if you want to avoid the FFA sites
they include in their free submission (this gives you
a lot of junk mail that may get your email account
down)- you may upgrade for a very small fee and use the
search engine submission only- well worth the try…
http://www.worldsubmitter.com

3. About 8 weeks later hand submit your site to
Google …Here you just need to fill in your web site
address and click submit at
http://www.google.com/addurl.html

4. Another 6-8 weeks and go back to world submitter–
keep repeating the cycle.

5. Go Viral – This is an absolute must – the true
potential here yet remains to be realized. Those of
you who have been overlooking this powerful cheap
advertising tactic right under your nose – My God…
JUMP IN RIGHT NOW!

This way you spread your links both horizontally and
vertically. Your link popularity will increase and the
search engines will find you through other sites
linking to you. How you do this:

- Write articles- these invariably get published and
your links start floating around. One of my articles
published on another site is ranking No.5 on Yahoo
right now.

- The second most effective technique is to give away
your own viral ebooks – these will serve not only as
your very own ebusiness cards but also help spread your
links. And you can be assured of free highly targeted
traffic for a long time to come.

Birthday Video - Turn Your Child’s Party Video Into A Music Video

Kid Birthday Party - Birthday Video

Most people shoot some random video of their child’s birthday
party, then toss the video in a drawer and forget about it.

Hey, we’re talking about some precious video of an important
event in your child’s life.

So if you’re going to shoot some video of your child’s birthday
party, why not make it into a video everyone will want to see?

With just a little planning you can turn your child’s birthday
party video footage into a fun music video that’s sure to become
a treasured family keepsake and heirloom.

Choose A Favorite Song

Before you shoot your video, choose the song you want to use for
your completed music video. It can be one of your child’s
favorites, or one that fits your party theme. Now you can shoot
your video to go along with the music. Most songs are about 2
and a half minutes long which tells you how long your completed
music video will be.

10 Things You Need To Shoot

Putting up the decorations

Party guests arriving

Activities and crafts

Party Games

Bringing out the birthday cake

Opening cards and gifts

Finished decorations and balloons

Parents, brothers, sisters, family members and pets

Staged shots of your birthday child and guests being silly

Guests saying good-by and leaving

The birthday child’s parents collapsing on a chair after the
party.

You may find other shots you want to include as well.

Fun Camera Angles

Make your shots at least 5 to 10 seconds in length. A series of
short but fun shots will help make your music video more fun to
watch.

Stay away from using the zoom lens. Unless a zoom is done very
well it tends to look amateurish.

Get lots of candid wide shots of your group.

Then move in and shoot medium shots of 2 or 3 people together.

Shoot close-ups of individual faces

Have fun by shooting some shots that are tilted to one side or
you can stand on a chair and shoot down on the party. Put the
camera on the floor and shoot up.

Editing Your Birthday Video - Music Video

If you have video editing software in your computer, you first
need to digitize (load) the footage you’ve shot into your
editing program. Then lay down your music track (the song you’ve
selected).

Now start your music video with a simple but creative title like
“Mary’s 6th Birthday Party” with a sub title related to your
birthday theme like “A Royal Celebration.”

>From the title you can use a fun wipe to your first shot. Try to
keep your shots about 5 seconds long. That will keep the music
video moving nicely without being too fast and visually
annoying. Also try to edit your footage together to tell the
story of your party rather than just randomly mixing everything
together.

Titles within your music video can also be fun. A title leading
into some party game footage might read “Extreme Musical Chairs”
or “Time To Pop The Balloons.”

As you edit your footage together, take a minute and preview the
entire video from the beginning. This will help you to get a
better feel for the overall pace. You might need to slow things
down or speed then up. Check your video from the beginning when
you have 30 seconds, then 60 seconds then 90 seconds of edited
video just to make sure the video is coming together the way you
want it to.

Save a little song time at the end to add your closing titles.
Give yourself a screen credit, your party producer, and of
course this video stars your birthday child.

Then at the very end of your credits you can have a little fun
by cutting to one last silly shot.

If you don’t have access to a video editor, take a quick look at

Your Birthday Video - Music Video “World Premiere”

After you’ve edited your music video together it’s time for your
world premiere. Why not invite all your party guests and parents
over for a private screening? Make some popcorn and have some
fun.

Years From Now

Imagine some years from now when you and your child sit down to
watch their birthday video together. You’ll both be very happy
you made this fun video out of all that precious footage.

And as even more years pass, you might just get to watch your
treasured family keepsake DVD with your grandchildren… I
wonder if they’ll still call them “Music Videos?”

“Mommy, Mommy, There’s a Caterpillar on my Bed”

Filed under:Home Improvement Center — posted on @ 6:51 am

Chenille has been used for bedspreads since Catherine Evans revived the craft in the 1890’s. She applied raised tufts of yarn to cotton sheeting and these spreads were often referred to as chenille products. Chenille is the French word for caterpillar - the yarn looks like those fuzzy little creatures. Thick pile of yarn ends stuck out all around at right angles. Stamps were created into a pattern and the yarn was stuck on to fill in the pattern. Bedspreads from this craft were all the rage in the 20’s. The demand was so high that new warehousing systems were developed to put out these products. This truly developed from a cottage industry in that haulers would deliver stamped sheets to the women of north Georgia, Tennessee and the Carolinas. They would then pick up the spread, pay the women and take the spreads back to the warehouse. A final finishing of washing in hot water locked in the yarns. They were also dyed in all kinds of colors.

By the 30’s, chenille bedspreads would be seen in most homes all along the east coast and beyond. Since they were so popular, manufacturers started mass producing the spreads in factories. Sewing machines were invented to do the process that was once done only by hand. The remarkable success of the chenille products lead to robes, toilet seat covers, rugs and more. Of course, bigger is better so a special machine was designed to create a piece of fabric that was at least nine by twelve for a whole room. By the 50’s chenille was in every home all over the country. My mom had several spreads in different colors and yours probably did too. I still search out vintage bedspreads at flea markets, and if you find them in good shape they fetch a good price as well. My mother in law had a pink chenille spread she started using for a drop cloth. YIKES. I snatched it up quickly, but now it is cut into pieces ready to become the next bear or sheep.

Many crafters take pieces of this caterpillar material and create toys and stuffed animals. It has become quite chic to have chenille in your child’s room. New material is everywhere, or you can still find some vintage pieces. Furniture is also popular in a girl’s room that has been covered with pastel chenille. You can combine new chenille with vintage and that’s perfectly acceptable. The soft texture adds to the warmth and charm you look for in a nursery or little girl’s room. If you know how to knit, the colors of chenille yarn on the market is huge. You can find kitschy robes with every imaginable motif.

Some cute young styles are cell phones, lipstick and nail polish, coffee mugs, shoes, and every conceivable animal. I’m glad chenille has made such a comeback in the market. Its fuzzy texture takes us back to a simpler time. The “caterpillar” was beloved in my home and still is today. Try it in your decorating plans and see how this nostalgic fabric complements everything else you have in the house. Thank you Catherine Evans for working so hard with your friends to make this a long lasting fabric we cherish today.
