Truck Trader - Using Online Classifieds to Buy or Sell a Used Truck

Are you thinking of buying or selling a used truck through classifieds like Truck Trader magazine? Why do people choose to buy a truck through classifieds such as the Truck Trader magazine rather than a dealership? What are some suggestions to make the buying and selling experience safer for both parties? How can the internet make the experience with truck trader and classifieds easier?

People buy and sell used trucks through publications and online classifieds like a truck trader because they can save money. Sellers offer lower prices than most dealerships because they could not get even that much for the truck as a trade in. Buyers are happy to pay the lower prices they get in a magazine such as Truck Trader, and are willing to put forth the effort to get their own financing and get the car checked at a mechanic because of they money they can save.

When you buy a truck through classifieds like Truck Trader, you need to be very cautious to make sure that not only is the truck the “great deal” that you think it is, but also that you are treated fairly by the seller. After you have decided what kind of truck you would like to buy, you will need to Blue Book it to get a good idea of what a fair price is. Once you find a truck in Truck Trader that you are interested in buying, you should make sure that the seller will allow you to take the car to a mechanic of your choice to get it checked out and check it out on CARFAX as well to see if it has been in any accidents. You should offer a cash down payment to provide the seller with “earnest money.” Financing can be done through your bank, credit union, or an online loan company.

Truck Trader and other classified magazines are also good for sellers. You can advertise your used truck to a wide audience. Offer a fair price that you can find in a Blue Book and write an ad that emphasizes the positives such as low miles. Before any potential buyer takes the car for a test drive, positively ID them, and you can even ask for something as collateral such as a down payment if they want to take it to a mechanic.

The internet makes it easy for you to list your used truck if you are a seller, and it makes it easy to find and narrow down your choices if you are a buyer. You will find other resources such as financing, Blue Book info, and tips for both buyers and sellers as well.

Trust the Lord and Go to The Hole

Filed under:New Age Infos — posted on @ 7:00 pm

This is my new favorite quote. Now to understand it you must know what “go to the hole” means. Go to the hole is a basketball term for going forcefully to the basket to score a goal. It in essence means “Take it to ‘em!”

Vince Carter in considered by many to be the next Michael Jordan. He plays for the Toronto Raptors and is a staple of the evening highlight shows.

A few weeks back his mother was being interviewed on national TV and the interviewer asked her what advice she gave her son.

She replied, “All I tell Vincent (leave it to your mother to call you by your full name on national TV) is to trust the Lord and go to the hole!”

So I got to thinking about that, and it makes so much sense. The confusion for so many people is what responsibility to put in God’s hands and what responsibility to take ourselves.

Some people take everything upon themselves when instead they should be trusting that God is in control and there is no way you can control those things anyway. Those things are better left up to the All-knowing.

I will give you an example from my own life. I speak on a regular basis. I probably give 75 speeches a year. Now, not everybody is going to like what I have to say. I leave those people up to God, because I cannot control people’s reactions to me. But I still go to the hole every time I talk!

On the other hand there are people who just think God is going to do it all for them. Like they will pay their rent because some manila folder is going to fall out of the sky filled with money right before the start of each month. When it doesn’t happen, they wallow “Why does God let this happen?” The answer? “Because you won’t get off your duff and do what you are supposed to do.

It is a balance. There are things God is going to do and there are things you have to do. The key is to understand which is which.

Another saying I like is that we should pray like it depends on God and work like it depends on us!

So what shall I encourage you to do today? What is your charge? The same one Mrs. Carter gives her boy. The same one I give myself - Trust the Lord and go to the hole!

Olive Leaf Extract - Your Body Will Thank You!

Filed under:Hall Of Medical Resources — posted on @ 1:11 pm

Natural ingredients, such as olive leaf extract, are very beneficial to the human body. Every day scientists and researchers are discovering reasons why you should choose to use olive leaf extract daily as a preventative measure, and as an active measure to cure illness. Olive leaf extract can be used to prevent illness and help aid in illness you may already have been diagnosed with.

Why Should I Use the Olive Leaf Extract?

The benefits of the olive leaf and its extract have been studied for many years. In fact, the ancient Egyptians used extract in their mummification and preservation rituals. The olive tree, its branch, leaf, and extract are often referenced throughout the Bible.

Extract Is:

Did you know the first substance to be extracted from the olive is called oleuropein? It was discovered in 1843. Oleuropein is described as a bitter substance found throughout the entire olive tree. This extract is a part of the olive tree that makes it durable. This olive leaf extract is also extremely resistant to bacteria and insects. Olive leaf extract went through extensive laboratory experimentation and was found to be a safe, non-toxic substance. Olive leaf extract was immediately found to be helpful in fighting viruses. Different pharmaceutical companies and scientists used a variety of compounds and measurement compositions of the olive leaf extract in tests. The extract is a “true anti-viral substance because it appears to selectively block an entire virus-specific system in the infected hose. It thus appears to offer healing affects not addressed by pharmaceutical antibiotics” (James R. Priviteria, M.D.).

It’s Beneficial!

As a supplement, olive leaf extract, was first used by health care professionals in the 1990’s. The following is a brief list of illnesses olive leaf extract benefits.

• HIV/ARC/AIDS

• Hepatitis

• Chronic fatigue

• Urinary tract infections

• Shingles

• Blood poisoning

• Diarrhea

• Common cold

• Pneumonia

• And more!

You can find a wide array of books, holistic practitioners, and other online resources for the olive leaf for you to utilize in your lifestyle change.

GPS Navigation - A Necessity For All Drivers

For any driver travelling some distance, GPS navigation systems are essential and can save both time and money. Many people will think “I don’t need one of them, I never get lost”, nevertheless at the price that you or I could pick one of these up for these days, it’s common sense to purchase one for even the occasional drive to a new location.

The GPS systems that are available today offer a lot more than just the map info that many people assume. Since GPS systems have arrived, the technological advancements have added such benefits as locating hotels and restaurants, and notifying the driver of speed cameras nearby. Furthermore, they constantly update with a detailed map of the area, with details of nearby facilities like hospitals; which is a feature that can be highly advantageous in an emergency situation.

The majority of vehicle manufacturers are capable of providing the car buyer with a built-in GPS system. These systems are able to advise the necessary authority of the vehicle location in scenarios where the vehicles’ airbag is deployed, and also when the car has been reported by the owner as stolen.

The detail that many GPS systems can provide in terms of road maps and directions is incredible. Even when abroad, the relevant software is available for you to be able to use your GPS there. The software is regularly available via the internet for the GPS user to download instantly, and to benefit from in almost, if not all countries.

So let’s take a look at some of the most useful and “must-have” options with a GPS device:
- A good viewing screen is vital as it obviously displays all of the data that you will need to see. Make sure it will be clearly visible and easy to understand whilst driving, and all information is displayed in a simple easy-to-follow manner.
- Consider selecting a GPS product that is easy to use, so that you do not need to fiddle around with the setup whilst in the car, but instead can set up what you need in a few seconds.
- Purchase a device that has good mapping software, which will display detailed streets and information on facilities. Ensure that it can also be updated online so all information can remain current.
- A voice enabled system is highly important, as it allows the driver to find their destination without taking their eyes off the road to constantly check their position on the GPS.

For those that do not have a GPS device, you may still decline the need for such a product; however for those that own one, i’m certain that they will never again be without one. They are practical to keep in your vehicle and provide good-quality information when required. They can save you time when travelling to a location and vehicle costs such as petrol whilst doing so. Take a look around at the GPS devices available to find out more detailed information, and to browse the deals that can be found. With the range of equipment available, finding one to meet your requirements should be relatively effortless.

How Big is Your Fish Tank?

Filed under:House Of Self Improvement — posted on @ 11:44 am

“It’s the simplest of math: Big fish tanks grow big fish; little fish tanks grow little fish….”

“You can’t catch fish unless you put your line in the water. You can’t reach your goals if you don’t try.” ~ Kathy Seligman

As I was planning for one of my REAL Talk Forums, the “fish tank” metaphor came up in my thinking. I wanted to emphasize how people could keep their “bigness” and create a “sabotage-proof” life. I thought back to when I had a very beautiful 55 gallon aquarium. There was over 100 pounds of real gravel in the bottom and it was l ined with live plants. The fish, which included a mated pair of Jack Dempseys, grew to be quite large with the biggest fish being about eight inches long and another being about six inches. I fed them raw beef heart, and they loved it, as it helped to grow to this size. I would sit in front of my fish tank for hours just watching them…it was mesmerizing to say the least.

I also had a 20 gallon tank with four fish in it and the largest fish grew to be only about two inched long. They all ate the regular flake fish food. I would watch them as well, but my eyes would always go back to the big tank…all of which brings me to the question: How big is your fish tank?

Before you take this with any literal meaning, what I am really asking is: How big is the space that you live your life in? Is there anything that is restricting you from growing into your “most bigness”? Is there any chance that you have outgrown your old fish tank? Just how big is your life, and how big can it be?

As you are pondering those questions, read the following piece from Marianne Williamson:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others…from A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles.

Are you allowing your Light to shine as bright as it possibly can? A big fish tank grows big fish, and likewise, a big life allows for a big, bright Light to shine from you.

Some people I have met seem to be happy with their small fish tanks because they do not want to change. Their lives are comfortable, predictable and familiar…they like the status quo. That is their choice and their business, and I certainly do respect that.

There are other people, however, who are like snakes: Always shedding their “old skin”, expanding and growing ever larger. These are the people who always want one more gallon added to their fish tank. These are also the people who seem to shine the brightest Light. In fact, their Light is so bright that it actually illuminates the path for others.

Which one are you, and are you happy with your chosen path? Would you like a bigger fish tank and a brighter Light force? If so, then I encourage you to hang out with some “big fish, bright Light” people. We do tend to be influenced by our environments, so if you want more from your life, find those who have found the “more of life” and ask them how they have done it. Most people are happy to share their steps of success. After all, big fish and bright Lights cannot hide, and because of this, they usually enjoy sharing their bigness and their brightness.

The business of bigness and brightness…hmmm, sounds like a good book title…okay, I’m off to my next project…can you see my Light getting brighter???

What Is the Real Future of Email?

Weekly, I keep an eye to the horizon to assess new developments
in the Internet environment. In noting the changes, I sometimes
begin to feel overwhelmed by feelings of doom.

The S~P~A~M problem is one such item that leaves me at times
in much distress. I fear the trends of the ISP’s in their
efforts to get control of the S~P~A~M situation.

The ISP’s are pushed and prodded by the ISP’s customers as they
begin to feel overwhelmed by the volume of unappreciated UCE
email.

Now and again, companies spring up to promise a new technology
to combat the growing problems faced by the ISP’s and their
customers.

Early on, the promising technologies included blacklists and
email filters. I say “early on” because I have been fighting
to overcome S~P~A~M filters for the last five years. The people
who receive mail from me in the form of ezines or newsletters
have ALL double-opted-in to receive my publications.

The sad thing is that as long as I have been publishing an
ezine, I have had subscribers who could not receive my
publications due to email filters.

Just a few months ago, I was feeling very depressed about the
future or lack of a future for email. It seems that the filters
are becoming so intrusive that very few emails will actually
reach their actual and intended recipients. And it seems the
problem will only get worse.

Now, we have a company offering a new solution that is almost
more Draconian than email filters. Habeas, Inc. has created
an email header and filters to assure that the people doing
the mailings are authorized to do so by the anti-S~P~A~M
zealots, a.k.a. the Habeas, Inc. accountant.

Habeas believes that online commercial enterprises should pay
them a fee to guarantee that their email will be delivered to
those who have asked to receive mail from them.

Personally, I am hoping someone will use the one keyword that
has most damaged the Internet to damage the future of the
Habeas concept. That one word is “free”.

Think about this. If someone was to feel secure enough to
stand up to the Habeas saber rattling about Copyrights and
Patents, and to offer a very similar service for FREE, then
we can as a community destroy the pay-to-send-email concept
before it has a chance to build any real momentum.

Today I read a small story about a email hoax perpetuated by
a student at Yale University:

http://www.yaledailynews.com/article.asp?AID=22111

The interesting thing that came out of this story is that the
Yale Administration came up with a simple solution to this
problem. They have directed their IT department to add a link
to every email that shows the URL where the official copy of
the email being sent can be seen on the secured Yale website.

The solution is that if the link does not appear with the email
pointing to where the communication can be seen on the Yale
website, then the reader is to assume that the email is a hoax.

Interesting, eh?

Like I said, a few months ago, I felt very pessimistic about
the future of email. These days, my outlook is not nearly so
bad.

When I realized that I would change the format of my own
publication, I also realized that I would move the publication
to my own mail server and I would also send two copies of the
ezine. The first copy would be a full HTML copy of the ezine,
and the second copy will consist of only a link to the URL
where one can view the ezine online. The second mailing is
only for those whose ISP blocked the original mailing.

Imagine that. There are in fact ways out there to conquer the
email hoax perpetrators and there are ways out there to conquer
the email filtering software. And finally, there is in fact a
way to defeat the Habeas, Inc. pay-to-send-email program.

The future does not look so dim anymore.

Adult Singles Cruises Could Be The Adventure You’re Looking For

If you don’t have someone to take with you on a cruise vacation, you may just find that someone instead, on an adult singles cruise. The cruise lines today are realizing that there is a huge market of singles that would like to get to know others in a friendly fun atmosphere, and so they are arranging for all kinds of cruises that cater to singles. These can include cruises for black singles, cruises for jewish singles, cruises for christian singles and much more. They often try to theme the cruise as much as possible to help singles meet others that they may have more in common with.

All of the cruise lines have different offerings available for singles, and that is why it is good to check with each line to see what they offer that could appeal to you. If you want to save money while you cruise, several lines allow shared usage of the staterooms by persons of the same sex and then each one pays the per person rate for that room. That essentially cuts the costs of an adult singles cruise in half for each individual, which leaves them more money to spend on having fun instead.

While on the cruise there are often special activities and programs to help singles be able to meet others including singles cocktail parties, group shore excursions, wine tasting and much more. This allows singles the opportunity to meet and greet others and get to know them on a social basis while the trip is taking place.

Of course, some singles don’t really want to meet someone else special while cruising and that’s alright too. There is plenty on board to keep a single person busy and involved without having to mingle socially including the beautiful swimming pools, spas, jacuzzis, elegant dining and more.

So if you always thought that you couldn’t go on a vacation cruise because you were single, that is just not true anymore. There is plenty that modern cruise lines have to offer both singles who want to meet other singles, and those who are just want to stay single but still have a great time.

All About Balance Transfers

Filed under:Hall Of Mathematics — posted on @ 8:34 am

What is a balance transfer?

A balance transfer can be explained simply as a balance transfer! When a balance is transferred usually from a credit card, but possible from a bank account or loan to a credit card with a offer interest rate (usually 0%) for a set period. It does not have to be the entire amount. The card receiving the balance will an interest rate for a set term, normally 6 months, but can be 9 months or even a year. Take a look at the current balance transfer deals currently available at http://www.search4-credit-cards.co.uk/balance_transfers.html. This will give you a flavour of the typical kind of deal available.

Should I apply for a balance transfer?

It is important to remember that a balance transfer does not mean that the debt has gone away. It just means you are not paying interest on it. You will still have to maintain payments.

This may seem obvious but many people do not get this straight in their mind.

The basic criteria for getting a balance transfer is when you regularly have an outstanding balance after making your monthly payments. This is the amount you should look to transfer to another card. This will mean that for the period of the offer you will pay no interest on the balance (provided you make the minimum payments).

You should be very wary of taking up a balance transfer, if your overall debt is increasing. A balance transfer is not a green light to spend more money. The money you save should be used to decrease your debt.

What should I look for in a balance transfer?

You need to be aware of the following when looking for a balance transfer card

Good things

Length of offer period.

Offer Interest Rate.

The zero or low interest rate charged on the balance.

Possible transfers from loans and overdrafts.

On some cards you can transfer from existing loans and overdrafts and still get the offer.

Bad things

Cut-off period for the balance transfer offer.

Hidden Charges on transfers.

Some banks will charge a handling fee on the balance transfer.

How long the offer is valid for?

There is usually a cut off point from the account opening when the offer is no longer valid. Be very aware of this otherwise you could end up transferring a balance to a higher rate!!

What about new purchases?

Unless there is also a 0% interest rate on new purchases then you should avoid making new purchases on a balance transfer card. This is because the banks will look to reduce the balance transfer debt quicker than the new debt. Provided your credit history is reasonable, there is nothing stopping you having several cards for different purposes. A good way is to have a card, which specialises in 0% on new purchases (see http://www.search4-credit-cards.co.uk/purchase_apr.html) and another card for balance transfers.

What happens when the balance transfer period finishes?

When the balance transfer offer period finishes the debt will revert to the typical variable APR. The lenders hope at this point that the cardholder will retain the card and some of the debt, so they can then start charging interest and making some money! So take into consideration the low interest rate credit cards (http://www.search4-credit-cards.co.uk/low_apr.html). However, there is nothing stopping the disciplined credit card holder from switching to another balance transfer deal and closing the account. The cycle then starts again. Always allow 6 weeks to 8 weeks before the end of the offer period to apply for a new card. This means you can get the balance transferred to the new card before the lender can start charging the higher rate. You have to be organised to do this, but if you are it does work. People who regularly switch balances are know as card tarts.

The Golden Rules

There are three things to look out for with a balance transfer card

As mentioned previously, the unsuspecting can get caught out when spending on a balance transfer card.

Maintaining regular payments. If you miss a payment you incur some penalty, so be aware. To be safe set up a direct debit.

The interest rate applied when the offer period finishes.

Good luck with your choice.

The History of High Speed Internet Access

High speed internet access, also known as broadband internet, is a high data-transmission rate internet connection. High speed internet has revolutionized the way that people utilize the internet. Before broadband internet, people spent more time downloading content than enjoying it.

The fastest that dial-up internet access can deliver downloaded files is at the rate of 56 kilobits per second. High speed internet, on the other hand, typically transmits at nine times the speed of a conventional dial-up modem. There are also broadband service packages that can transmit up to 20 Megabits per second.

Broadband internet access refers to DSL (digital subscriber line) and cable modem access. DSL is the most commonly used high speed internet, with cable running a close second in terms of popularity. There is also satellite internet access, but there is a high latency problem caused by the distance the signal must travel to and from the satellite. Currently there is also a new service called power-line internet that is being tested. This internet service may eventually allow high speed internet data to travel along standard high-voltage power lines. However, this data transmission system has several issues that will need to be resolved before the feasibility of power-line internet is determined.

High speed internet access became an extremely rapidly developing market in many regions in 2000. Studies found that broadband internet usage in the United States grew more than 24% between 2000 and 2003. One of the challenges of this age of broadband is the ability to provide high speed service to customers located in rural areas. This is because in urban areas service providers are easily able to recover the cost the new equipment required to offer broadband. For this reason, many rural inhabitants still use dial-up or ISDN, which typically delivers data at up to 128 kilobits per second.

In some markets, especially those outside of the United States, there are some internet service providers that are taking advantage of the current lack of industry definition as to what constitutes as broadband internet. Currently, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has defined high speed internet access as 256 kilobits per second in at least one direction (upload or download), though average consumer broadband speeds far exceed this rate of data transfer. Thus, some internet service providers take advantage of lacking industry standards and market lower bitrate connections as high speed.

With the innovation of high speed internet it has become possible for users to download and watch videos and music files in just minutes, if not immediately. Anyone that’s used dial-up to download these larger types of files knows the frustration of waiting hours for a download that may never even complete. Without broadband internet access, the popularity and convenience of peer-to-peer file sharing would not have been possible.

As the rate of data transmission increases, the market expects that streaming video and streaming audio services will become increasingly popular. Interestingly, video encoding formats such as MPEG-4 are making top quality video streams accessible at even lower bandwidth rates. Innovations in video formats are converging with the increasing end user bandwidth speeds to provide unprecedented video access over the internet.

As data formatting innovations combine with increasing access of high speed internet to users around the world, we will continue to see improvement in the delivery of various media types as well as improved connectivity and communication, in general, between people all around the world.
