Should You Homeschool Your Children?

Home schooling is a very important option to consider for schooling your child. The bottom line for any school choice should be how well it serves the needs of the child. There are many cases in which home schooling is the right choice to make, but only you, as a parent can decide.

Beyond the aspect of the child’s needs, there are other things that you’ll need to consider as well. The decision is completely up to you, but having all the facts can help you to make the right one overall.

One thing that you will need to decide if you can or cannot provide is teaching. Not everyone is a teacher. While you will have a wide range of resources to help you, you will need to provide your child with the ability to learn through your words, actions and the products you provide for them. You’ll need to establish a routine, stick with it and then you’ll need to go back and make sure the learning objectives are covered.

There are many resources that you can tap into to help you to provide a home schooling environment for your child. There are resources online including curriculums, guide books, lesson plans, websites for learning, CD ROMs and a wide range of home schooling websites that will provide you with the foundation that you need. Of course, much of these will be costly. So, you’ll need to carefully consider if you can afford to home school a child.

Lastly, the hardest part of home schooling is the work involved. Yes, you will need to make a commitment to do it. While the many rewards of schooling your child out of your home are well worth it, the fact is that there is a lot of work to be done. The good news is that you’ll have the back up and support of others in your area that home school as well as the many friends online that you are likely to meet.

The decision to do home schooling is one to make carefully. If you can not find it in yourself to do all the hard work and teaching or you can not afford it, you can still incorporate many aspects of it throughout their day. The goal is to provide your child with the atmosphere and learning objectives that they need to succeed.

Ideas On How To Use Container Gardening To Decorate Your House And Garden

Nearly every house and garden presents numerous attractive
settings for container plants. Suburban gardens, estates, small
city backyards, and summer cottages–all can be enhanced by this
type of gardening. A few of the seemingly endless possibilities
include entranceways, steps, courtyards, walls, rooftops,
balconies, patios, breezeways, lawns, driveways, walks,
sundecks, windowsills, porches, summer houses, even tree stumps
can be utilized.

Let us start with the entrance, a focal point for every house. A
simple arrangement consists of similar container plants at each
side of the doorway. If the house is informal, painted tubs will
make a cheerful note, while urns or ornamental pots are more
appropriate if the architecture is formal. The arrangement,
however, need not be symmetrical, since a single container at
either side, particularly if the doorway is off-center, is
pleasing. A large specimen can be balanced by a grouping of
small pots, and various other interesting combinations can be
worked out. Sometimes, the front entranceway can qualify as an
outdoor place for house plants, but be sure they are not exposed
to strong sun and wind.

Unexpected areas like side and rear entrances can also serve as
backgrounds for pot plants in casual groupings. For sunny steps,
consider tubs of petunias, or dwarf dahlias, or boxes of herbs
to be used in cooking. Tuberous begonias, fuchsias, patient
Lucy, and fragrant nicotiana solve the problem of what to grow
in shade.

Porches or verandas, traditional or contemporary in style, offer
numerous settings for pots, window boxes, and hanging baskets.
Indeed, the entire container garden can be concentrated there so
that plants can be easily cared for. If the porch is open on
three sides, it will afford exposures to suit a variety of
specimens.

The patio or terrace, beside or beyond the house, where family
and friends gather to eat or relax, is an ideal location. If it
is formal, select clipped evergreens and arrange pots in
symmetrical rows, perhaps lined up against the house or along
the edge of the terrace. If the site is informal, make casual
groupings of one or two tall plants with smaller ones in front.
Either way, allow for a few large plants in tubs or boxes for
accent and height.

Container plants may line walks and paths that lead to the
house, garage, or garden. They can rest on paved areas along
fences and walls and on driveways where they are not in the way.
If the driveway adjoins the foundation of the house, plant
containers may be placed there.

Tops of garden or terrace walls are ideal places, too. Put small
pots and boxes on tall, narrow walls and large containers on
low, broad surfaces. Hanging plants of ivy geraniums in the sun
and fuchsias in the shade will cascade from walls, as they do in
the patios of Spain, Portugal, and Italy. On Rhodes, I recall a
fifteen-foot wall topped with a row of thirty gleaming green tin
cans full of roses and other flowers.

Think of what you can do with rooftops and sundecks where
considerable space is usually available. Here sun-loving plants,
like geraniums, most annuals, cacti, and succulents can be
grown, but, again, include large specimens for height to give a
garden feeling. A few large boxes and planters for trees and
shrubs are sufficient but be sure to include some evergreens for
year-round green.

Many gardeners like to insert container plants in flower borders
to introduce unusual specimens, such as tropicals in the North.
Large tubs can be set at the corners and small pots may be
scattered among the permanent flowering plants. One gardener
keeps a supply of potted pink Fiat Enchantress geraniums on hand
to fill bare spots in her wide borders, moving them about as
needed. Most of the geraniums are in four-inch clay pots, but
there are larger specimens for the center of each grouping. Make
sure their secure, sink pots a few inches into the ground.

You can always dress up the lamp post in your yard with
container plants at the base or you can suspend a hanging basket
of lantana, perhaps from the top. Ivy geraniums in an
old-fashioned black kettle are nice for the base. Bare posts
that support sectional roofs over patios or paved surfaces of
contemporary houses look more attractive if potted plants are
clustered around the bases or permanent boxes for plants are
built there. Try planting climbing ivy in a pot and train it to
climb the posts.

Novelty containers–donkey carts, wheelbarrows, and spinning
wheels–can be fun in some places, but, of course, such planters
must not be overdone. Usually they are set on lawns, on a
terrace or beside a gate or doorway. (If you life in a
neighborhood that has a house owners association check with them
first to see if this is allowed). Steps leading to a driveway or
street or to different levels in a garden can be emphasized with
pot plants. A few can be arranged at the top or at the base of
the stairs. And, there are other possibilities. Tree trunks cut
to the ground or left a few feet high make good pedestals for
large containers. In fact, this can be a solution to the problem
of what to do with a trunk too expensive to remove. If you have
a tree with heavy shade, why not construct a pretty sitting area
around it and decorate the space with containers of coleus, wax
and other begonias, caladiums, ferns and other shade-tolerant
plants.

These are just a few ideas for using container plants around
your house and garden. Use your imagination and have fun. Happy
Gardening!

Teen Depression: The Scary Truth

Teen depression comes in two forms. It can be a simple episode in which they are upset because of a break up. Or, it can come in a constant, heavy depression that can and does destroy lives. There are many things that you, as a parent can do to keep your child out of this condition. Teen depression is serious and should be handled in the right way.

What Are The Signs?

Knowing some of the signs of depression is necessary. All parents should keep a look out for these conditions.

  • Pulling away from the things that they used to love to do.
  • Not eating well. While they may eat normally, they may lose weight. Or, they may not be eating at all.
  • Not sleeping well. Waking up still tired is not okay.
  • Pulling away from friends and social situations. This is a key sign of teen depression. Teens are social creatures and need constant interaction. If they are not allowing it to happen, they may be depressed.
  • The blues that last. While everyone feels bad sometimes, teens with depression feel bad most of the time. You need to get them some help in these cases.

Teen depression that is serious can lead to additional problems. Teens that are depressed may be more likely to do drugs or drink alcohol. Teens in this situation are less likely to do well in school. They may retreat so much so into themselves that they may become ill or may attempt to harm themselves.

One of the scariest things about teen depression is how well they can hide it. Many teens will face bouts of depression, but those that have too many will hide it well from you. If this is the case, you may never realize how much trouble they are in until it is too later. Parenting a teen means; making it your business to know.

Why Is There “Egg” On My Hamburger?

Have you ever had egg and red beet root on your hamburger?

I haven’t… in fact, when I pulled the top of the bun off my burger at “Hungry Jack’s” and saw not the usual pickle, onion and special sauce, but beet root and a fried egg, you could have picked my chin up off the floor with a spatula.

HOW in the world does anybody eat egg and beet root on ahamburger?

I looked around the hamburger shop and realized that other people were eating egg on their hamburgers too… and to them it seemed quite normal.

Then I looked around the restaurant a bit more and realizedthe “Hungry Jack’s” is actually “Burger King” (minus the”King”).

On the way back to the hotel we stopped at Starbucks and I ordered a “venti half caf” (translation “large half regular half decaf”).
My ability to order at Starbucks is one o f the few things I do in life that makes me feel “hip” and cool. So I gave my order with my usual style and flair, and the girl looked at me and said “Excuse me?”

So, realizing that my American accent was probably getting in the way (it’s my turn to be the one who “talks” funny), I told her again - “Venti half caf”.

She looked at me for another minute and shook her head. She actually looked a little helpless with this foolish American standing in front of her.
So, I explained, “I want a large half regular, half decafmixed together. “A look of understanding instantly washed over her face and she looked at me and said ” You want a ‘weak’ coffee.”

This morning I went to Krispy Kreme and, after help withthe translation from a very patient lady behind thecounter, we figured out I wanted a “flat white” and Terri wanted a “flat black” coffee.

The Australians have demonstrated enormous patience with me and their hospitality has been truly incredible!! One of the amazing things that’s happening to me (right now, this very minute), is that since I’ve been thrown so far out of my comfort zone and familiar surroundings that my mind is absolutely on fire with possibilities, ideas, and new patterns of thinking.

I wanted to share with you some of the more interestingthings I’ve seen and noticed here in (Sydney):** “Relax Mate” **People are a lot more laid back here. We’re staying in the largest city in Australia, and people are still laid back and seem more relaxed than I’m used to in my own life in “small town” America.

What it’s made me realize is that you can still succeed and you don’t have to be stressed out all the time!

I’m going to take a little of this relaxation home with me!

** The Fighting Father **
I met one of the most unique, colorful, caring, and just plain “cool” people I’ve ever met in my life, Father DaveSmith. Father Dave is the pastor of an inner-city church who does youth outreach through a boxing program and other innovative programs.

Father Dave is a model of innovation, purpose and thinkingin non-traditional patterns to accomplish your objectives. He’s reminded me that thinking “outside the box” combined with a clear and congruent purpose in your life can overcome basically any obstacle that may come your way.

Bottom Line: you’re never defeated until you admitdefeat… and a strong purpose (WHY) will overcome ANY”problem” that pops up.

As an added bonus, I got to stand on the “widow’s walk” of Father Dave’s house and see a gorgeous panoramic view of Sydney, the Harbor and surrounding area you could never buy… one of the true rewards of new found friendship. In the end, all you have is not the money you make, but the impact you have on other people’s lives and the friendships you create.

** The Scenery Might Change, But People Are the Same **

People are the same everywhere when it comes to human behavior and how they want to be treated. I’m at a seminar where people paid thousands of dollars to attend… but even if they only spent $29, they all WANT the same things:- They want you to tell them the straight story with no bullshit.

- When you talk to them, they want you to be yourself… your genuine self… with no airs, pretending, or trying to be something you’re not.-

Manners still count… “please” and “thank you” can literally carry you around the world.-

STOP and THINK before you talk (especially if you’re tired) and always be careful of other people’s feelings.-

Understand that when you sell somebody something on the Internet, they are a real person… not “just” another sale. They have hopes, dreams, concerns, desires, and things that are important to them. You can NEVER, under any circumstances, betray that trust. -

Integrity is everything… and once that trust is gone, you can never get it back.

** Love People! **
If you’re just on the Internet to make money and not tohelp people, your career online will be short-lived, if it ever gets off the ground at all. I heard a saying from Chris Bloor (a famous marketer based in Australia). In his speech he said “Even a dog knows ifyou don’t like it!

“How I took that was very simple… if you are just out to fleece people out of their money, they will find you out and you’re done. It doesn’t matter what you’re selling, you have to love the people you’re selling to… that’s the true secret to making money on the Internet.

You might think that’s a sappy, dorky sentiment, but to me, it’s one of the most important discoveries I’ve made here in Australia. Getting outside myself… getting outside my comfort zone… may just be one of the best things that’s happened to me in a long time.

I’m seeing people I’ve never met and learning a ton just by watching how they go about their lives and what is considered “normal” for them. But, most importantly, I’ve discovered that there’s a whole wide world out there and every person I meet can teach me something really incredible!–

How to Protect Your Child from the Internet

Filed under:Internet Security Resources — posted on @ 11:10 pm

When the Internet first came about, it was realized it could be quite the multi-tasking machine. These days people use it for just about everything, from downloading music to checking e-mail, and virtually making the rest of the globe closer all the time.

As a parent of a young child or a teenager, an issue of security is always on your mind (or at least it should be). While none of us like to speak about it, failure to provide this security has resulted in some children or teenagers being subjected to awkward situations. Not much more has to be said on the subject, but if you want to monitor your child’s activities on the PC, read on.

There are many ways an unknown can get their hands on your child’s e-mail address. You may or may not know it, but chain letters are one of these methods. They are popular among youth, but you should know the truth about chain mail letters. These days, with everyone being on one instant messenger service or another (MSN messenger is popular among youth) everyone seems to have a hotmail address, and chain mail letters usually circulate through hotmail servers. This is not to say they are at fault - of course they don’t regulate these letters. But one chain mail letter has upon it’s header portion the e-mail addresses of all those who have partaken in the distribution of the letter. If one wanted to add some of the hotmail addresses to his or her own MSN messenger, all he/she would need to do is take a random e-mail off the letter (or a few) and add them to MSN.

Voila, an unknown is suddenly talking to your child on the computer. It doesn’t matter who the person is that the unknown added - he/she will find out after they begin speaking to your child.

Kind of scary, isn’t it? I’m not trying to scare anyone, I’m just saying how easy it is for anyone to get ahold of a random teenager’s or child’s MSN address.

There are other ways, too. Chat rooms are another culprit. People meeting all kinds of other people they have never spoken to, but suddenly they’re chatting it up about random subjects. Date lines, 1-800 numbers, text messaging…the list goes on.

So what CAN you do to protect your child? Good question. There is adequate measures you can implement to “keep tabs,” so to say. You could try a keylogger software; this works by logging just about everything done on the computer by keystroke. You could turn on message archiving on msn; this means that any and all conversations on MSN are logged and you can review each of them.

To make sure your child isn’t accessing the wrong sites, you could check the Internet history. These days, some PC users know how to erase this history as it is quite easy. To restrict your child from visiting the wrong websites, you could try a program like Net nanny as well.

If after monitoring your child using either a keylogger or checking their MSN history you realize they are speaking to the wrong people, you can go on their MSN and block and delete this person. Be sure to do both actions. By blocking the unknown, he/she cannot re-add or speak to your child again. And by deleting the person from the list, your child cannot unblock that person. (There are ways to unblock and re-add the contact but it will be more difficult).

Just let your child know what you have done and that it is for their own safety.

Remember, it’s up to you to ensure your child has a safe browsing experience.

Pet Drug Patches

The use of transdermal patches within human medicine is very popular for people who may want to quit smoking, relieve pain and even to replace hormones. Can these drug patches work for our pets?

Transdermal drugs for animals are very similar to those used for humans. In some cases like fentanyl, the pain killer, it is identical. The drug is administered through the patch which is applied to a saved area of your pets skin, thus enabling the drug to reach the bloodstream across the skin (transdermally). Not all drugs used transdermally are available in patch form, some drugs are compounded by pharmacists into a gel which is applied to your pets skin, usually the undersied of the ear flap. The fentanyl patch, use mainly in humans, has been used on dogs, cats and horses in the use of pain control management.

In general drugs which are given transdermally enter the bloodstream much slower than using other routes, such as orally or by injection, therefore using patches would not work for drugs that are needed immediately. These drugs tend only to be used when the drug is not critical to the animals immediat survival. Transdermally used drugs can take up to 24 hours to begin working and are therefore only used for non life threatening conditions such as feline hyperthyroidism, this can be monitored by measuring thyroid hormone levels and ensuring the transdermal drug is working. This method of delivery can iliminate the need for daily pills for your pets. If you are the owner of a hyperthyroid cat using ointment on its ear once or twice a day, it will save your having to force feed your cat with pill and keep your human animal bond in tact!

If your dog had to undergo surgery for example, veterinarians may use a fentanly patch before and after surgery to help reduce the pain. This in turn reduces the number of injectable drugs and anesthesia required. Your dog may then be able to return home sooner rather than having to stay in hospital and therefore be more comfortable recovering at home. Another advantage of transdermal drugs is that they bypass the gastrointestinal system and will need less processing by the liver.

The Courage to Love

Filed under:Life Of Relationships — posted on @ 11:54 am

Although love is exploited and idolized in our culture, many still fear it. They want it, but they do everything to sabotage love from ever lighting upon their doorstep. Some use their intellect as a way to guard their hearts from anything so volatile and unpredictable as love. Others use their past wounds as justification for battening down the hatches.

Just before I met my husband, I had come to the conclusion that I was going to love anyway. I could have joined the club of Bitter Women Who Have Been Dogged Like a Flea Bitten Mutt, but I realized life is too short. I’m one of those types who love to love. Not everyone was open to someone like me, but you know what? Tough. I loved ‘em, anyway. This meant opening my heart at least an inch in order to allow love to flow through.

I eventually learned to practice wisdom. I didn’t want to love the psychopath, thinking my “all-is-right-with-the-world” attitude would change him. I determined to love people in general and let the chips fall where they may. I remember feeling very vibrant during that time. It was as though I had plugged into a huge amplifier and the energy coursed through my being, demanding to be deposited somewhere and preferably not in a quiet zone. I thought of the biblical verse, “Love never fails.”

Why does love never fail? What is it about this particular emotion that sends poets rushing for a pen and ordinary people grinning like idiots, even in the midst of a downpour?

I believe it is the primary language of our soul. This is how we are to speak to one another. This is the life we were created to live.

When we love, so many good things happen that you’d think everyone would rush to join the fun. But almost the opposite is true. Many at one point in their life, rushed into love but ended up running into a wall. Maybe the wall was put in place by their parents, an old girlfriend, boyfriend, or friend-friend. Whatever happened, they decided that maybe rushing wasn’t such a good idea after all and crawled away to a nice comfy cave.

I talk about my husband frequently because I am in awe of him. He would consider himself an average guy but to me, he’s my hero. He is the one man who rushed headlong into loving me. He immersed me in his heart to a degree I had never known before. Of course he deserved my love until death do us part. It was as though he ran toward a cliff and jumped in wild abandon. He wasn’t guaranteed my devotion by doing what he did. He did it simply because he loved fully, fiercely, and fearlessly. How could I not love such a man?

Everyone has a different timetable in arriving at such a willing state. If you find yourself withdrawing into the darkest recesses of your cave, I would like to challenge you to take a walk. You don’t have to declare your undying love to the first stranger you meet.

Simply smile. A teeny, tiny opening is better than none at all. Small risks of interaction will lead to the big risk you will eventually take to find love. For loving is a risk but it is the most fabulous risk you can take. A risk we were all born to take. May you have the courage to love today.

Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Mudslides: Extreme Events - What do t

Filed under:Online Science Resources — posted on @ 11:41 am

In lieu of recent, tumultuous occurrences, people are more compelled than ever to discover the mystery of these modern-day, earth-changing events.

One day, Earth is experiencing the fourth largest earthquake in a century - a 9.0 tectonics plate shift off the coast of Sumatra, the next day - Tsunami.

A Report from NASA explains how the poles have permanently shifted by an entire inch. According to Dr. Benjamin Fong Chao, “…Any worldly event that involves the movement of mass affects the Earth’s rotation, from seasonal weather down to driving a car.” Per the findings of Doctors Chao and Gross, the North Pole has shifted by an inch in the direction of 145? East Longitude. Based on their report too, was that Earth’s oblateness (gravity field) was also decreased by a small amount.

To translate into laymen’s terms, the change in mass distribution can effect long-term global climate changes; (See here for more info) thus, the El Nino/La Nina effect is strengthened due to unusual mean sea level pressure.

The Journal of Geophysical Research published an abstract on data analysis from the Earth’s gravity field. In their profound study, results showed that Earth’s gravity field has undergone significant variations during the past 28 years alone. The largest (of these fluctuations) occurred during the 1996 - 2002 time frame. Again, we have a scenario of mass redistributions in the atmosphere and ocean in a relatively short period.

Personal research from the National Earthquake Information Center showed that between December 5, 2004 and January 5, 2005 there were over 170 earthquakes across the globe that measured over a 5.0 (on the Richter Scale).

According to the Volcano Information Center, 77 volcanoes have erupted or are experiencing ongoing eruptions since 2002 - 2004; of which, 57 began erupting during 2004 alone.

The recent California Mudslides, the torrential downpours, and extreme winter precipitation begs one to try and comprehend what exactly is occurring and why it is happening at this point in time. Once again, we return to the statement made by Dr. Benjamin Fong Chao, “…Any worldly event that involves the movement of mass affects the Earth’s rotation, from seasonal weather down to driving a car.”

Based on this analogy, we can clearly define that magnetic field composition and movement can and does affect global weather (on a broad scale). But what other effects can the magnetic field have on the planet as a whole?

Interestingly enough, I was able to retrieve different reports that may somehow involve magnetic field proponents: In February of 2004, `…over 10,000 Bramblings dropped dead in a `bird rain’ in the Eastern Province of Jiangsu - Yangzi,’ as reported in the BBC News. In addition, in November of 2004, 100s of Whales and dolphins were found stranded off the coast of Tasmania and New Zealand (Australia Broadcasting Corp ). Reporter Jocelyn Nettlefold stated, “…The weather appears to be central to the stranding cycle. Every decade or so, atmospheric changes bring cooler, sub-Antarctic waters further north…” Professor Mark Hindell further elaborated, “…there have been suggestions in the past that seismic exploration may have been associated with strandings in the US…”

In a more comprehensive Article from Progress in Physical Geography, Sudden Climate Transitions during the Quaternary, Scientists found that the `…time span of the past few million years has been punctuated by many rapid climate transitions, most of them on time scales of centuries to decades or even less…’ and `…Judging by its past behavior under both glacial and interglacial conditions, climate has a tendency to remain quite stable for most of the time and then suddenly `flip’; at least sometimes over just a few decades, due to the influence of the various triggering and feedback mechanisms…”

This, in relation to magnetic pole shifts would inevitably and theoretically explain dramatic climate transitions. Since 1990, surface waters in tropical and subtropical Atlantic Ocean regions became markedly saltier, while at the same time, much of the water column in the high altitudes of the North and South Atlantic Oceans became fresher. See Report: New Study Reports Large-scale Salinity Changes in the Oceans

My own theory is as such: Seismological Events = Polar Shifts = Climatic Changes = Global Warming = Sea Level Rise = Continued Seismological Events = etc., etc., etc. In other words, seismological events brought on by nature or manmade contraptions, is the beginning of a vicious cycle.

To further fuel the debate of greenhouse effects directly attributed by sea level rise, `Glacial Melt Alarms Scientists,’ as reported by Terry Rombeck of Journal-World, Prasad Gogineni (Kansas Univ. Researcher) stated, “…I don’t think sea-level rise is an immediate concern. You’re talking about the long term, 50 or 100 years. But the assumptions we’ve made are based on gradual increases over 100 years. What we’re seeing are dramatic increases.”

Overall, the Earth, as we know it is inconceivably changing before our eyes. It is still not too late to make our own transitions in how we proceed with this newfound knowledge. The key to scientific research and global climatic/geological phenomena is that we, as human beings, have the inevitable power to implement strategic changes that can ultimately reverse or at least slow the effects of our own ability to inhabit this Earthly plane. In so, the solution lies within us all. The only difference between mankind’s survival and mass-level extinction is whether or not we choose to use the solution.

Safety precautions for boating and hunting

Filed under:A Life Of Leisure — posted on @ 9:51 am

Boating and hunting are certainly two of the most popular outdoor activities. In the following article we will take a look at each of them and discuss some of the safety risk involved.

Boating
The term boating usually refers to the recreational use of a pleasure craft. Fishing and waterskiing are two common boating activities along with many other sports. Millions of boaters can be found all around the world as it is an incredibly popular activity.

Boating Safety
For most people when they go out boating on the water the last thing on their mind is emergency preparation. This is a mistake which over time has cost many people their lives. Being prepared for an emergency is absolutely vital if you are going to go out boating. Common boating emergencies include someone falling overboard, boat breakdowns, boat leaks and capsizing.

Proper safety equipment is not only recommended but is mandatory in most places. Boating safety equipment includes life buoys, life jackets and ladders. A horn and bailer are also recommended and/or required in most areas. Survival suits are also recommended especially when boating in cold water where the risk of hypothermia is greater.

Proper maintenance of your boat is essential to ensuring a safe trip. Without proper maintenance your boat has a much greater risk of breaking down which will put the lives of everyone on board including yourself at risk.

Hunting
Hunting can be defined as the practise of pursuing some type of animal while attempting to capture or kill it. Hunting dates back many, many years and is a very celebrated pastime.

Hunting Safety
Unload all firearms when not in use. Although you may know that your firearm is loaded, the people around you may not. Never hop over a fence or climb into your tree stand with a gun that is loaded. When travelling on an ATV or other vehicle unload the gun as well.

Be sure that not only do you know what is in front of your target before shooting but also be aware of what is behind it. Many hunters leave this part out as they assume that they will not miss. That however is not the case.

What Your Clothes Say About You - The Good, Bad, & Ugly

A person’s wardrobe is perhaps the best way to find out about their personality. You can quickly tell if a person is shy and quiet or loud and attention seeking just by looking at what they are wearing. Generally speaking, an individual who wants to blend into the crowd will not don a hot, sexy, and super-short dress. Furthermore, a loud and outgoing person will generally not wear a simple ho-hum sweater set. Before you choose your outfit for the day, think about how you want other people to see you and interpret your personality.

Clothing that is wild, scandalous, or super trendy may tell others that you are a hip woman fixated on the here and now. Similarly, individuals may look at these rather unique outfit choices in an unpleasant manner, thinking you have less than honorable intentions regarding a variety of issues. This is critical when seeking to dress to impress. Look at the given situation and strive to create a wardrobe that best conveys your particular point. However, do not think you are compromising your personality or individuality by worrying about what your clothing says about you. Work to incorporate unique pieces into your wardrobe that will best reflect your individuality or interests.

For the most part, we want our clothes to portray us in the most positive light possible. Your clothes say far more than you think. Additionally, your accessories or other items you wear can portray you in a variety of lights. Consider for example a woman dripping in diamonds and jewels. What do the specific accessories that she is wearing say about her and her status? Even the smallest—or largest—item in your wardrobe can speak volumes, so be sure your clothing is saying the right thing!

Perhaps the most important time to ensure your clothing is putting you in the best light is during a first meeting. Imagine the difference between meeting with a potential employer wearing a smart suit and carrying a demure bag as opposed to wearing an unsightly get up that includes an outrageously short skirt and a top with an astonishingly plunging neckline. Regardless if you are meeting a potential date, the family of your significant other, or applying for a job in person, what your wardrobe says about you is critical. Wear clothing that bests shows your interests, personality, and individuality instead of wearing clothing that may promote unnecessary misconceptions.
