How a Regular Human Can Find Their Niche

How a Regular Human Can Find Their Niche

The big buzz-phrase at the beginning of 2006 is ‘Niche
Marketing’. If you find your niche and market it like crazy, the
gurus cry, you can be a zillionaire by March. Great. So where is
this niche, and how will you recognize it when you stumble into
it?

Many expensive courses are offered teaching Internet Marketing,
and most have some important links missing. How does the average
person find their niche, without a background in marketing? As a
beginner, you may just want to supplement your current income,
and hopefully, eventually, quit your day job. The very average
advice offered for hundreds of dollars is ‘find your passion,
research on the internet and Clickbank, develop your own
product, and there you go. So let’s help you expand this into a
sensible plan.

Grab a pen and paper, and try some new ideas. What did you want
to be when you grew up? If you really are a fireman or train
engineer, you have an excellent niche, with a lot of information
and stories to tell. If you aren’t what you planned to be when
you were twelve, take it up again now, study your dream
occupation, and become an armchair expert.

Do you have a hobby you are passionate about? Not everyone does,
and passion means different things to different people. What
subject do you love to talk about that no-one else you know will
join you in? What are you willing to keep talking about even
when no-one else is willing to listen? These favourite subjects
of yours show the basis of passion. The internet is the new
galaxy here on earth, and there’s bound to be people outside
your little sphere who want to hear what you have to say, and
might be willing to pay for that opportunity.

Take notes the next time you go to a magazine rack. What are the
first three magazines that grab your attention? Each could be
your general niche to start with. Look through your book
collection at home, and find a common theme that is obvious, or
have someone else do that for you.

A niche can be defined as ‘a position particularly well suited
to the person who occupies it’. Where you see yourself fitting
in the best might be your niche.

If the place that suits you best is not the number one hot topic
on the internet today, that’s ok. Start with one subject that
you feel eager to work with, and build a working knowledge that
you can develop into an information project. The practice you
gain can be used to make a second niche for yourself, and a
second on-line business.

There are many other ways to find your little piece of the net,
and I’ve found an extremely valuable resource with three free
ebooks and several hours of video that will help you generate
more ideas than you will be able to deal with in a lifetime. All
you need really is sitting in your head right now, you just need
the keys to unlock it.

Planning A Container Water Gardens For Any Yard

Filed under:The Gardening Way — posted on @ 8:02 pm

I have an admission to make. I’m a natural born swamp-child. To me, there are few things in this world more beautiful than the marshy edges where pond meets woods and creates the perfect growing environment for cattails, water-lilies, lotus, cabomba and lush green ferns.

Alas, it has been my misfortune to live in the middle of the city, in rented apartments with postage stamps for yards. For years, I lusted after large, spacious backyards with room to dig your own pond. I read articles on building water gardens, koi ponds, and backyard fountains and sighed with envy. Then I discovered a simple fact – all it takes to create a water garden is a sunny spot that’s big enough for a pot of water.

It’s no more difficult to grow a water garden in a container than it is to grow any other container gardens. If you have a sunny spot – at the very least 6 hours of full sun daily throughout the summer – you can create a water garden. Your water garden can be as simple as a large tub with a few submerged plants, or as elaborate as several arranged container gardens with rocks and a fountain powered by a circulating pump. If you’d like to try your hand at creating a simple container water garden, you’ll find everything you need at a local home supply store like Home Depot.

Planning a Container Water Garden
Location is the single most important factor in planning your water garden. Your space can be as small as a single square yard, but it MUST receive plenty of sun throughout the day. Think twice about locating a water garden of any sort beneath an overhanging tree. The leaves that fall will decay in the water and can foul it. If you’re building an actual pond, or using a large container like a swimming pool, check local ordinances regarding safety.

The plants that you choose should be suited to the container that you’re using. Choose plants that are hardy for your planting zone. There are four basic kinds of water plants:

Floating water plants – like water hyacinth and cabomba – require no planting at all. They float on the surface of the water with their roots trailing to absorb nutrients.

Surface Plants – like water lilies, lotus and floating yellow heart rooted in the pond’s bottom (or in this case, in a submerged pot), and put out leaves on long stems to float on the surface of the water.

Submerged plants – grow completely underwater, and seldom show their leaves above the surface. They help maintain the balance of nitrogen and other nutrients, and will require thinning to keep them in check.

Marginal or Bog plants – grow at the edges of ponds in the wild. They like to keep their feet wet, so to speak – with their roots and lower parts of their stems underwater. Dwarf cattails, black taro and sweet flag are examples of marginal plants.

When choosing plants for your container water garden, keep in mind the size of your container. Don’t overcrowd your garden – the rule of thumb is that your plants should cover no more than 2/3 of the surface of the water.

Broadband Phones for Dummies

What is a broadband phone? How does a broadband phone
work? Where do I find broadband phone service? How much can I
expected to pay for a broadband phone and broadband phone
service? These are the questions I have asked and set out to
answer in this article.

What is a broadband phone? A broadband phone is essentially a
telephone that makes calls to another telephone via a broadband
connection.

How does a broadband phone work? When a phone call is placed the
call is routed by a private branch exchange (PBX) from a
company like AT&T, SBC, or Sprint. The difference is that the
data from the phone call, which is the voice data from you
speaking, is transferred back and forth through the internet
using a technology called voice over IP (VoIP). A
traditional phone transfers data over phone lines.

Where do I find broadband phone service and how much does it
cost? A list of broadband phone service providers and their
lowest monthly rates is below.

Broadband Phone Service Providers

Lingo - $19.99

Net2Phone - $14.99

SpeakEasy - $83.90

Voice Eclipse - $12.95

Voice Pulse - $14.99

Vonage - $14.99

ZingoTel - $14.95

I hope I have been able to answer some of your basic questions
concerning broadband phones and goodluck with your future
broadband phone endeavors.

Country Style Bathroom Decorating

Filed under:Home Improvement Center — posted on @ 3:10 pm

If your hectic life makes you yearn to escape to the
countryside, why not create a little “get away” in your own
home? Believe it or not, the bathroom is a prime candidate for a
country theme. This is the room you use to shower or soak away
the day’s dirt as well as prepare for the day ahead. Why not
give it a relaxing, country feel?

The easiest way to give your bathroom a “down-home” country feel
is to add rustic accessories. Wooden pegs are a clean, simple
way to add a country feel to hanging towels and bathrobes. Pine
baskets are a charming way to hold guest towels, and a large
wicker basket on the floor keeps bath towels handy as well as
adding a country-life touch.

If your bathroom is shared by many people, you might want to
consider using wire baskets instead of wood or wicker. The large
amounts of steam created by numerous people showering can create
the perfect environment for mold on wooden or wicker baskets.
Either make sure you seal the baskets before using them, or
substitute the kind of wire baskets used to gather and store
eggs on a small, country farm.

Glass canning jars make great storage containers in a country
bathroom. They are great for holding all the little
miscellaneous things that float around a bathroom. You might
have toothbrushes standing head up in a tall jar, and use
progressively shorter jars to hold things like combs and
hairbrushes, hairpins or barrettes, and cotton balls. You can
purchase plain canning jars in most supermarkets, but to give
your bathroom even more of a country feel, look for “bail-lid”
jars with a glass top on hinges that clamps down tight. These
are especially good at keeping cotton balls clean and dry until
they are needed. Browse antique and “collectible” stores and
you’ll find beautiful antique canning jars that will add an
authentic feel to your country bathroom.

You may find that these simple touches make you want to go
“whole-hog” and add country style bathroom fixtures. Home
improvement stores and bathroom showrooms have an amazing range
of faucets, sinks, and tubs to meet your county bathroom design
needs. A claw foot bathtub and pedestal sink will take your
bathroom back to a simpler time. Need storage? A pine armoire
fits the country theme perfectly, and is easy to find either
finished or unfinished. If you choose to finish the piece
yourself, products are available to help you give it an old,
crackled or distressed look.

Whether you opt for just a few flourishes or completely redo
your bathroom, your time will be well-spent. Your new
accessories not only improve the functionality of your bathroom,
they create a peaceful place to escape the frantic pace of
everyday life.

Proven Alternatives To Filing Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy can be devastating both economically and emotionally. Extensive damage to your credit and long-term economic issues from bankruptcy will cause many problems in the years to come and it is far better to explore other alternatives before making the decision to file for personal bankruptcy.

Some of the alternatives to bankruptcy include: Renegotiate secured loans, Debt consolidation, Debt deferment, Renegotiation of unsecured loans, Interest debt reduction, Professional debt negotiation, and working with Debt Reduction Attorneys.

Renegotiate secured loans

Bankruptcy does not get rid of all your debt. Secured loans are generally for items such as cars and/or your house. These loans are usually the largest debts that people have, yet filing bankruptcy will not reduce those debts. However, if your debt hasn’t ruined your credit already, you may be able to renegotiate the loans or take the loan elsewhere.

For instance, if you have a home loan that is several years old, you may be able to significantly reduce your interest rate. Depending on your principal balance, you may see your payment go down several hundred dollars per month.

If you only have a few years left on a house mortgage, you may also be able to extend that loan over a longer period and reduce your payments even more.

Debt Consolidation

Most people have multiple payments that they must make every month. High interest credit card bills, car loans, house mortgage, and doctor/hospital bills can add up to some very serious payments every month. If you have equity in some real estate, especially your home, you can often get rid of these debts by taking on a first or second mortgage and use that money to pay off your other debts. But be sure to run the numbers first. There isn’t any point in consolidating debts if it isn’t going to make a significant difference in your ability to pay. Consolidating unsecured debt under a home mortgage will make the entire debt secured and bankruptcy wouldn’t do you a bit of good.

Debt deferment

Debt deferment means to make arrangements to pay certain bills at a later time. Rather than lose a good customer and the debt owed, some merchants may be willing to let your debt sit and collect interest while you pay your other bills. Few secured loan holders will go along with this because they generally have nothing to gain. However, other merchants may be willing to do so.

Renegotiation of unsecured loans

Unsecured loans generally are far more at risk, but there may be some wiggle room. Some merchants are willing to reduce or even eliminate any interest or carrying charges in order to let you pay off your entire debt amount.

Interest debt reduction

When people get into a credit mess, it’s often due to extensive interest that has accrued on the original balances. Creditors may not be willing to negotiate the principal balance but are generally more amenable to working with you on the accrued interest because it isn’t reflected in the books the same way.

Professional debt negotiation

Debt negotiation companies can take out the hassle and do much of the work for you by developing and then taking your case to the creditors. Since your negotiation company has no personal involvement, discussions remain purely about resolving the business relationship, leaving both parties more amenable to working out a solution.

Debt Reduction Attorneys

In cases where your debt load or asset level is high , you should probably seek out professional legal help from an attorney that specializes in debt reduction. Debt reduction attorneys have a wide variety of skills and can often do a better job of working with some creditors.

A debt reduction attorney will also take a look at any contracts you may have and become very familiar with the case. This can come in handy if other actions must be taken and therefore reduce some redundancies.

Use Camera Dummy Security - Fake Security Cameras to Deter Intruders

Filed under:Internet Security Resources — posted on @ 4:34 am

If you don’t want to spend a lot of cash on a home security system, but you want intruders or possible burglars to be deterred from your property, then a camera dummy security might be just what you need. With a camera dummy security, thieves will think that your home is protected but will not be able to tell the difference between your fake security cameras and the real thing. This is a cost effective way to keep intruders away from robbing your home.

Some of the camera dummy security systems can be mounted easily with a few
screws and support braces, and will give the appearance of looking just like a real
bona fide security camera. These decoy cams will look like the real thing, with
realistic stickers and blinking lights. You can even find fake cameras that have
motion detectors installed in them, so even though they are not transmitting video,
they will still be motion activated and move as if they are filming the suspect.

You will be surprised to find that a camera dummy security can save you a bundle,
and mostly you can find what you need for under a hundred dollars. Intruders will
be fooled and diverted from your property, and you will have the peace of mind of
knowing that you are protected. You might be surprised to know that you don’t need
to spend a lot of money to give the appearance that your home is protected by
alarm systems and cameras. With fake security cameras, you can mount a security
system that will appear to the untrained eye as being realistic and always capturing
video. If you have a small store or even want to make your household staff think
they are being monitored at all times, they will be on their best behavior around
your fake security cameras.

There are many different styles of fake security cameras to choose from. You can
secure your home with fake cams for as little as 15 dollars a
camera. This is a great idea if you are short on cash but still want to make your
home look protected. Another great use for fake security cameras is for movie or
theatrical play sets. Your audience will believe that your dummy cameras are real
and you don’t have to spend a lot of money on props!

Colored Contacts For Halloween - Make Sure YOU Don’t Go Bump In The Night!

Filed under:Internet Travel Resources — posted on @ 2:35 am

Ok, the end of October is approaching, and you desperately want some colored contacts for Halloween. Why? Well, possibly because no one else will have any, maybe because you like to go that extra yard when you dress up, or maybe you want to get your own back on one of the neighbours kids for frightening your cat. Whatever the reason, colored contacts for Halloween make a lot of sense.

But what do you choose?

Well, some of the more conservative colors like blue, brown or green probably wouldn’t cut it. These colors are too subtle and could be used for work maybe, or a dinner party where you are trying to impress. Animal eyes are pretty cool, but are they Halloween eyes? Cat’s eyes might be, but generally speaking, these special effects contact lenses are dance floor eyes. Take them to the nightclub and be the King or Queen of Clubs for the evening.

But for Halloween, what you need is something a little more scary perhaps. Maybe something red - Vampire eyes maybe? That would blow little Johnny’s socks off, don’t you think? Or if we are going down the red road, maybe Zombie eyes would do the business. There is certainly a lot of choice for you. Halloween will never be the same again.

Or perhaps you just like being different. Well, some manufacturers will create custom colors for you. Be prepare to pay more though, because custom made contact lenses will not be stock items, and without the cost benefit of being mass produced, having a unique look could come a little expensive.

And by the way, most colored contact lenses are for cosmetic purposes, and come with zero power. This means that they make no correction to the eye, which in turn means that pretty much anyone can wear them.

The article was written by Charlie Cory, who is the owner of FX Eyes, a website dedicated to providing advice about buying special effects contact lenses online.

7 Big Mistakes In Goal-Setting - #5: Not Taking Knock-on Effects of Achieving Your Goal into Account

The ancient saying “Be careful what you ask for, in case you get it” is a very wise one. Because your unconscious mind will do its best to give you what you ask for – no more, no less – you have to be very clear about what the goal is that you are setting.

Consider a businessman who very single-mindedly sets a SMART goal of owning a company with a turnover of a million in its first year.

A year later he has his company, it’s turned over a million, so he has achieved his goal. But – his health is shot due to working 19-hour days, he’s a hundred pounds overweight because he’s been living on junk food, his wife has left him because he’s never home, and he has no friends left because he has made deals with them that left him with a big profit and them with very little.

This is not where he wanted to be, but because he did not consider the consequences and knock-on effects, his unconscious mind gave him exactly what he asked for – and no more.

How could he have avoided this? As well as making the goal sensory-specific and putting a date on it, he also could have looked at the consequences of achieving the goal on every other area of his life:

- his health

- his family

- his friendships

- the wider community

If you don’t consider all the consequences of your goal, you may end up with something you don’t want. The smarter way to set goals is to take the consequences into account, allowing you to make changes to your goal and/or your route to achieving it. That way you stand a chance of getting the benefits of your goal while avoiding unwanted side effects.

Bonus tip: listen to your unconscious mind
——————————————

The conscious mind can only track around seven “chunks” of information at a time (less on a bad day) so it’s easy to miss something vital when you are thinking your goal through.

Your unconscious mind, by contrast, is potentially aware of everything, and it can notice pitfalls that the conscious mind overlooks. Generally it communicates with the conscious mind by means of feelings. So – check how you feel when you think about your goal. Do you feel enthused and energized, or tired and discouraged?

If you feel less than 100% about your goal, that may indicate that your conscious mind has missed something about the consequences of achieving it, so check again.
